The Role:

Scorability is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer with 2-8 years experience who well versed and experienced in e-commerce. You must be passionate about creating data-driven, intuitive software applications from the ground up to solve for our customers’ needs. As a Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in architecting and developing scalable, market-leading solutions using technologies like Python with type hints, PostgreSQL, and AWS will collaborate with talented engineers, product owners, and the co-founders to turn innovative concepts into reality. What you’ll do:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Python and AWS amongst other technologies.
• Partner in the design, architecture, development, code review, and testing of all company applications to ensure scalability and performance
• Participate in refactoring or modernizing legacy tools and systems
• Collaborate with internal partners to define feature requirements and deliver the product that materially impacts the business and solves customs’ needs
• Build seamless, maintainable backend APIs and data input/output workflows
• Roll up your sleeves and code, showcasing the elegance and efficiency of your experience and problem-solving
• Partner with other engineers in a collaborative way, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth
• Embrace being at an early-stage company where duties include unit testing, writing tickets, and documentation

Experience we’re seeking:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred
• 2+ years of proven experience as a Full Stack Engineer, in SaaS environments that underwent tremendous growth and scale
• 4+ years of experience building and maintaining e-commerce platforms or payment systems
• Strong proficiency in backend development, preferably Python or other modern object oriented languages
• Solid understanding of payment gateway integrations (Stripe, PayPal, Square, etc.)
• Experience designing and implementing subscription management systems (billing cycles, renewals, cancellations, upgrades/downgrades)
• Database design and optimization experience - PostgreSQL preferred
• Understanding of security best practices for handling sensitive payment and customer data
• Abreast on modern AI practices to optimize/test and capable of quickly learning new technologies
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a results-driven mindset with a love for being hands-on keyboard and writing code that deeply impacts customers
• Effective communication and collaboration skills across all departments, including with leadership, with a desire to be close to the product, customers and cross-functional teams for feedback loops
• Prior experience in data engineering a plus
