The Game & Event Production Intern will have the opportunity to work with and learn from the Game Production and Presentation teams at Ford Field for all Detroit Lions home games and other events held at the stadium.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The Game & Event Production Intern position will have daily responsibilities including, without limitation, the following:

  • Work with the Manager and Coordinators of Game & Event Production to manage, load, and quality control all content for the videoboards at Ford Field
  • Manage NFL rosters, headshots, and statistical information for both home and away teams for in-stadium use
  • Responsible for all administrative duties relating to game and event production & presentation needs
  • Create graphics for in-stadium use when assigned
  • Learn all positions in the Control Room and assist with troubleshooting when necessary
  • Assist with creation of gameday documents
  • Assist with requesting content from internal departments and organizing upon receipt
  • Assist with game and event records, as well as distributing requested deliverables to internal departments
  • Work with Director and Manager of Production & Broadcasting Operations to build and test equipment around the stadium in preparation for Detroit Lions home games and Ford Field events
  • Act as primary contact for various Ford Field events when the videoboards are in use
  • Fill in on event days for control room positions as necessary
  • Perform various other tasks that may be assigned from time to time by other departmental personnel

NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Must be motivated, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Maintain professionalism when communicating with internal and external contacts
  • Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • The ability to gather and analyze information skillfully and develop solutions quickly and effectively
  • Will adjust work schedule to meet departmental demands
  • Will keep appropriate information confidential
  • Will accept other responsibilities and duties required by the supervisor consistent with the objectives and essential functions of this position. Such responsibilities shall be incorporated into the position description if they are ongoing.

 QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Currently pursuing or obtained bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting, Journalism, Film, Mass Media or related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience working in a Production Control Room required
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite preferred
  • Experience with Ross Xpression and Tessera systems is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to connect with, and relate to, all levels of staff, management, clients, and vendors
  • General understanding of NFL rules, teams, and players is a plus
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively adjust to rapidly changing market and business conditions.
  • Demonstrated work ethic with an innate sense of urgency and tenacity
  • Team oriented attitude, relationship building, professional demeanor and appearance
  • Strong computer skills including experience with MS Office products, including but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Outlook with the ability to learn new programs
  • Strength in time management, administrative ability, organization, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
  • A valid Driver’s License and a good driving record
