Location: Guildford, UK 

Duration: 10 weeks; June - August 

Format: On-site (minimum of 3 days per week working from the office) 

Terms: Full-time, paid 

Eligibility: Candidates are required to hold valid work permit/visa at the time of the application and must be a student currently studying in UK

Overview 

The DPS internship offers a unique opportunity to dive headfirst into game development. As an intern, you’ll work alongside industry professionals, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to real game projects. You’ll be actively involved in the creative process, developing your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment. This internship fosters growth, innovation, and a deeper understanding of the gaming industry, helping you build a strong foundation for your future career.

What are we looking for? 

• A portfolio showcasing creative projects, game design concepts, or personal game development work. 

• Basic knowledge of game design principles, mechanics, or industry-standard tools. 

• Experience with Unreal Engine or other modern game engines. 

• A genuine passion for gaming and a desire to translate that passion into innovative experiences. 

• A creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and bring fresh ideas to game design. 

• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams. 

• Adaptability and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment. 

• Solid time management skills to meet project deadlines and contribute to successful outcomes. 

 

What will help you stand out? 

• Familiarity with Blueprints or other rapid prototyping tools to bring design ideas to life. 

• An interest in level design, with an understanding of how to create engaging and balanced gameplay spaces. 

• Experience playing World of Tanks or other vehicle-based combat games. 

• A proactive attitude and a drive to push creative boundaries.
