Job Description

Location: Belgrade, Vilnius, Nicosia, Prague, Warsaw 

Duration: 10 weeks, April -June 

Format: Pre-recorded lectures / online feedback sessions / practical tasks 

Application period: February – March  

Terms: Free course in English (6 hrs/wk for educational videos, feedback, and practical tasks) 

Eligibility: For Serbia - due to the type of contract for interns, only Serbian passport holders are eligible to apply. For Lithuania/Cyprus/ Czech Republic/ Poland - candidates should be eligible to work in Cyprus/ Lithuania/ Czech Republic/ Poland at the time of the application and for the whole period of the program. If you are not eligible to work at the program locations at the time of the application, you will not be allowed to move through all the stages of the process. 

Additional Information: Based on the performance during the course, some participants may be offered a paid internship (minimum 20 hrs/wk) in either Belgrade, Vilnius, Nicosia, Prague or Warsaw. 

Proces for the candidate:  

Step 1 Submit the online application;  

Step 2 Complete the self-recorded video interview;  

Step 3 Complete the test task;  

Step 4 Be patient: responses can take up to 3 weeks from the date of applications closing. 

Overview 

This course is all about monetization and game economics. We will cover different aspects of in-game monetization, how it’s connected to the game economy and why engagement matters, we will discuss some of the aspects of game monetization history and different behavioral aspects and as a participant of this course you will try to approach and solve some economic, financial and even ethical cases that you may face as a monetization manager or director. 

 

What will you learn? 

The game monetization consists of many different aspects and areas. During the course you will get the knowledge of following aspects: 

  • Game monetization history; 
  • Direct and indirect monetization methods; 
  • Different business models and specifics of these models; 
  • What is game monetization funnel; 
  • How to build and prototype the game economy; 
  • Some legal aspects of the game monetization; 
  • Platform specifics and major aspects of the different platforms; 
  • How to analyze different game metrics and introduction to the game analytics; 
  • Main aspects and pillars of the in-game shop design and UX. 

 

What are we looking for? 

  • Knowledge of Excel; 
  • Knowledge of Data interpretation and presentation; 
  • Base knowledge of PC/Console/Mobile game market; 
  • English working proficiency; 
  • Analytical skills; 
  • Systems approach mindset; 
  • Strong communication skills; 
  • Ability to approach and resolve ethical dilemmas; 
  • Understanding of players psychology and mindset.

 

What will help you stand out? 

  • The knowledge of any analytical platform or prototyping tool such as AnyLogic, Machinations or ClickTeam; 
  • Fusion will be a major asset for any participant; 
  • Ability to interpret and deconstruct players’ behavior;  
  • Knowledge of Tableau, PowerPoint, R.
