Responsibilities
Test our games and tools, identify and report issues, and verify fixes. Be the voice of the players and advocate for a great player experience. Support other developers with daily technical challenges, reproducing and reporting issues. Help to track and maintain the stability and performance across different projects and platforms. Collaborate closely with designers, writers, and programmers to provide accurate feedback at each stage of the development. Work as embedded QA in interdisciplinary feature and content teams, fulfilling the team’s testing needs, and being the point of contact for other QAs. Create and maintain documentation to coordinate testing across multiple time zones and support knowledge sharing. Constantly learn how our games and tools are made, leveraging this knowledge to debug issues, build test levels, and point out workflow issues. Conduct playthroughs and provide feedback on narrative (branching stories, region connectivity, group dialogues), systems (engaging combat, mechanics interactions), and the design of a believable, cohesive, and living interactable world. Design and maintain test cases and checklists related to gameplay mechanics, player interactions, and character progression. Requirements
Passion for video games. Fluent in written and verbal communication in English. Ability to work efficiently in a constantly changing environment under pressure. Ability to build cross-departmental relationships with designers, programmers, et al. Flexibility and being well-organized to work efficiently with the local and international team (across countries and time zones). Experience in designing and executing checklists and test plans for gameplay systems. Ability to identify and handle issues to mitigate risks during all stages of development. Experience with bug management and documenting tests (JIRA, spreadsheets, or other dedicated systems). Understanding of game components, their interactions, and game development process. Ability to analyze and break down the experience into meaningful, well-received feedback. Great attention to detail and problem-solving approach to the assigned/owned areas.
