THE ROLE:

AG1 is looking for a strong, strategic and thoughtful leader who is dedicated to amplifying our revenue and cash flow through innovation and ability to thrive in ambiguity to create a first-class customer experience and a highly motivated high-performing team to execute on that vision. You will be responsible for overall market performance and growth in a strategic and critical role. Our General Managers are creative, big-picture individuals who are accountable for their own P&L and teams. This includes not only financial management but also team leadership across departments (including but not limited to  operations, finance, supply chain, customer happiness,  local marketing and digital product as well and business development).

As General Manager, you will not only ensure operational excellence but will also have your finger on the local market pulse, identifying new opportunities for growth while building and maintaining important partnerships and other growth channels for your region.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • You are responsible for the business plan for the DACH region, on short term as well as on the medium and long -term.
  • You drive the organization to achieve and surpass growth, profitability, cash flow and business goals and objectives.
  • You oversee the local business entity and implement action plans to drive operational efficiencies and manage costs, ensuring readiness to respond to changes.
  • You have a strong focus on growth, customers and partnerships.
  • You collaborate closely with our centralized support teams incl. People, Legal, Finance, IT, Supply Chain and Physical Product Development.
  • You establish credibility throughout the organization as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.
  • You are able to build, motivate and lead a team of high-qualified professionals.
  • You foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the organization.
  • Building targeted analytics, from defining and analyzing metrics to deriving actionable insights that drive KPI-measured marketing success.
  • Improving and scaling processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure efficient communication and collaboration between marketing, sales and product teams.
  • You report to the COO & President.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • 10+ years related experience – Strategic Growth Marketing, Customer Experience & Collaborations.
  • 8+ leadership/management experience in a D2C eCommerce business mandatory, subscription business experience a big plus. 
  • You only want to work for a company that has a true mission and vision to improve the lives of their customers.
  • Strong interdepartmental communication skills.
  • You are obsessed about terms like ROI, ROAS and other Key Performance Indicators to measure a growth business.
  • Have vast experience in ROI driven marketing across all digital channels, from Paid Search via Paid Social to Social Networks and Influencer Marketing.
  • Have worked with Digital Product teams to optimize all owned digital channels with a focus on mobile and desktop website experiences
  • Have experience with Physical Product teams to build and optimize customer experiences in real life.
  • Have experience in actively managing a P&L, including fine-tuning all the KPIs that drive a business
  • Creative and innovative thinker, organized, detail-oriented, team player and solution-oriented.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and budgets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills, brings a strategic and critical POV on brand presentations and executive briefings.
  • German Native speaker with excellent communication skills in English (company language).
  • A mix of creativity and curiosity matched with natural organizational skills.
  • A desire to flourish in a fast-paced environment with an entrepreneurial and proactive spirit.
  • Passion for the health and wellness space.
  • Highly analytical, critical thinker who is able to glean salient ideas from complex information and clearly communicate them to a diverse set of stakeholders in a way they will understand.
  • Ability to project professionalism over the phone and in person.
  • Thorough knowledge of G-Suite (Google Docs and Sheets).
  • A can-do, positive attitude and a roll-up-your-sleeves approach; personable and flexible with demands and changes in business.
