WORK OPTION: Hybrid   The National Basketball Association (NBA) is a global sports and media organization with the mission to inspire and connect people everywhere through the power of basketball.  Built around five professional sports leagues:  the NBA, WNBA, NBA G League, NBA 2K League and Basketball Africa League, the NBA has established a major international presence with games and programming available in 214 countries and territories in 60 languages, and merchandise for sale in more than 200 countries and territories on all seven continents.  NBA rosters at the start of the 2023-24 season featured a record 125 international players from 40 countries and territories.  NBA Digital’s assets include NBA TV, NBA.com, the NBA App and NBA League Pass.  The NBA has created one of the largest social media communities in the world, with more than 2.3 billion likes and followers globally across all leagues, team and player platforms.  NBA Cares, the NBA’s global social responsibility platform, partners with renowned community-based organizations around the world to address important social issues in the areas of education, inclusion, youth and family development, and health and wellness.    Essential Functions and Job Summary This position will be responsible for managing key strategic NBA marketing partner relationships, with the goal of growing and developing these relationships by realizing both league and partner objectives. The focus for this role will be on planning and executing media and marketing activations, pitching, negotiating and delivering on both league and partner objectives.   Major Responsibilities Lead day-to-day account management for multiple accounts, including approval of partner advertising, media, events and other related activation plans utilizing NBA marks or assets. Manage the fulfillment of partner sponsorship portfolios across NBA and WNBA properties, including leading partner activation processes from start to finish. Keep the Senior Director of Marketing Partnerships -Canada informed of all issues and status of accounts; escalate as necessary. Day-to-day relationship builder and business lead for accounts in a variety of industries and at agency level; must demonstrate a proven ability to understand different business categories. Work cross-collaboratively across the NBAC team to deliver on marketing programs, generate branded content, execute partner media plans, events, and positive PR.   Drive revenue opportunities for the organization, working closely with the Business Development team and direct manager, to pitch upsells to current partners. Lead Hospitality for the NBA Canada office, including: Manage NBA Canada suite in Scotiabank Arena including distributing all tickets and arranging F&B Manage ticket inventory around Canada Series games and any local grassroot events  Manage invite lists and logistics for B2B events, NBA All-Star, and social functions    Required Education/Professional Experience Bachelor’s degree required; Major in Marketing or Business preferred. 3-5 years of relevant experience. Required Skills/Knowledge Attributes Solid understanding of sports and entertainment sponsorship including promotions, events, media, and contracts. Strong communicator with relationship management skills both internally and externally, ability to adapt to a variety of personalities and working styles Client, project, and event management skills.  Ability to management multiple tasks with a sense of urgency, motivated self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environment.
