Our mission: to eliminate every barrier to mental health.

At Spring Health, we’re on a mission to revolutionize mental healthcare by removing every barrier that prevents people from getting the help they need, when they need it. Our clinically validated technology, Precision Mental Healthcare, empowers us to deliver the right care at the right time—whether it’s therapy, coaching, medication, or beyond—tailored to each individual’s needs.

We proudly partner with over 450 companies, from startups to multinational Fortune 500 corporations, as a leading provider of mental health service, providing care for 10 million people. Our clients include brands you use and know like Microsoft, Target, and Delta Airlines, all of whom trust us to deliver best-in-class outcomes for their employees globally. With our innovative platform, we’ve been able to generate a net positive ROI for employers and we are the only company in our category to earn external validation of net savings for customers.

We have raised capital from prominent investors including Generation Investment, Kinnevik, Tiger Global, Northzone, RRE Ventures, and many more. Thanks to their partnership and our latest Series E Funding, our current valuation has reached $3.3 billion. We’re just getting started—join us on our journey to make mental healthcare accessible to everyone, everywhere.

We are seeking a Global Regulatory Counsel to help guide Spring Health through complex and evolving regulatory landscapes across multiple jurisdictions.  This role is for someone who enjoys building clarity where the law is fragmented, translating regulation into practical guardrails, and partnering closely with product, clinical, and operational teams. This is a hands-on, judgment-driven position for someone who can think globally, act pragmatically, and help shape how Spring Health scales responsibly. This is a full-time, remote role reporting to the Deputy General Counsel, Regulatory and Risk. Occasional travel may be required for team or company events.

What you’ll do:

  • Serve as a primary legal advisor on global regulatory issues affecting the company’s services, including healthcare, digital health, telehealth, professional practice, and emerging AI regulation.
  • Assess regulatory risk across new and existing markets and help prioritize where focus and investment are most needed.
  • Advise product and engineering teams on regulatory implications of new features and workflows and partner with clinical teams on issues related to professional practice standards, licensure, scope of care, and delivery models across jurisdictions.
  • Translate regulatory requirements across global jurisdictions  into clear, actionable guidance for non-legal teams.
  • Support regulatory diligence for customer inquiries, RFPs, and enterprise partnerships.
  • Help build and refine global regulatory playbooks, processes, and documentation.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, including operations and sales teams, to address regulatory issues, ensuring regulatory compliance is embedded in all aspects of the company’s operations.
  • Support and collaborate with fellow legal team members on various projects, contributing your expertise and insights to enhance the team’s overall effectiveness.

What success looks like in this role:

  • You’re a translator, able to move fluently between legal requirements and real-world operations.
  • You know when to push for rigor and when to design for flexibility.
  • You’re comfortable making recommendations when the law is unsettled.
  • You enjoy building structure and clarity, not just reacting to change.
  • You value collaboration, curiosity, and thoughtful risk review.
  • You cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to provide timely guidance on regulatory and compliance matters.
  • You provide sound legal guidance, empowering the company to make informed, strategic decisions.

What you'll bring:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar membership in good standing in any US state.
  • 5+ years of legal experience, including meaningful work in regulated industries (healthcare, health tech, digital health, or adjacent fields).
  • Strong understanding of and experience advising on international or cross-border regulatory issues, including familiarity with EU regulatory frameworks and global digital health standards.
  • Ability to quickly identify and assess issues, evaluate risk, and provide legally sound recommendations that align with business objectives and remain consistent with good business practices, reason, and regulatory basis.
  • Innovative solutions, developing and executing strategies to manage complex regulatory challenges.
  • Willingness to maintain a good-natured, collaborative, team-oriented approach to problem solving while also being self-motivated and comfortable working independently, with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional written and oral skills, capable of conveying complex legal concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Outstanding organizational and project management skills, capable of juggling multiple priorities with precision.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, while also comfortable working independently and proactively.

The target base salary range for this position is $184,000 - $211,500, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including equity and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually using Radford Global Compensation Database at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
