OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Travel Manager to lead our global travel and corporate credit card programs and policies. Reporting to the Head of Procurement, the Travel Manager will oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of travel management company (TMC), negotiating contracts and managing relationships with travel partners, such as airlines, hotels, and car rental companies, and ensuring compliance with our Travel Policy. The Travel Manager will also oversee the corporate credit card and P-card programs.

The Travel Manager should have excellent customer service skills and will collaborate with internal stakeholders and customers to resolve issues, drive cost savings, and promote safety and security.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Management of all aspects of Alo and Bella+Canvas’ global travel program.
  • Enforce and update corporate travel policies, ensuring employees comply with guidelines and procedures.
  • Manage network of global TMC’s, ensuring adherence to SLAs and compliance to Alo and Bella+Canvas’ policies and procedures.
  • Negotiate with airlines, hotels, and any other travel partners.
  • Analyze data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Execute sourcing initiatives and lead RFPs for Travel and Corporate card services as needed.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure best-in-class service and competitive pricing.
  • Work with travel security provider to advise on security issues, manage traveler tracking platform, and support travelers in emergency situations.
  • Provide guidance and training to employees on travel policies and procedures.
  • Ensure quick resolution of issues and maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Act as advisor for Travel Policy related questions.
  • Provide reporting on spend, savings, and other metrics to internal stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of industry trends and best practices, changes in regulations or requirements related to travel, such as visa or passport requirements.
  • Stay abreast of travel and corporate card technology and tools to streamline the booking and approval processes.
  • Lead global corporate card & p-card programs.
  • Respond to all internal questions and support requests.
  • Administer Corporate credit card and P-Card programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 7+ years’ experience as a Travel Manager, or relevant Travel industry experience.
  • Proficient in travel management software and corporate credit card tools.
  • Experience working with a global team.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communicator across various levels within the organization.
  • Top level customer service and communications skills are required.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and organization skills required.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to manage and develop supplier relationships.
  • Ability to successfully prioritize and solve complex problems.
  • Highly motivated performer, with a demonstrated ability to influence and lead others while also working independently in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills preferred. Must be comfortable creating presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint and presenting to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Strong business acumen, demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, ability to strategically link long-range business goals to daily activities, demonstrated ability to work with others, and desire to use organizational knowledge to assist and influence others to specific action.

The base salary range for this position is $120,000-$150,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
