As a Senior Graphics Engineer at Bungie, you will learn our engine’s capabilities, then help us expand them by building features and pipelines that empower our game teams to craft incredible visual experiences. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and maintain production-quality C++ and HLSL code
  • Design, build, extend, document, and maintain graphics systems and associated tools and workflows, with minimal oversight
  • Collaborate daily with a cross-disciplinary team to build amazing new graphics features and workflows

Additional for Lead:

  • Translate requirements from multiple customers into solutions that align with technical fundamentals and product goals
  • Effectively write clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation and email communication, with the ability to summarize complex topics and achieve alignment across multiple teams

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Strong knowledge of C++ and HLSL
  • Proficiency in 3D math, data structures and algorithms
  • Ability to implement modern rendering algorithms, and familiarity with rendering techniques used in real-time graphics
  • Comfortable with debugging, profiling, and optimizing C++ and shader code for production and release
  • Ability to communicate with customers of different technical and non-technical backgrounds to help them navigate technology and achieve their goals, including technical documentation

Additional for Lead:

  • Experience leading teams developing complex products with significant cross-team dependencies
  • Experience training and mentoring peer and junior engineers

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS

  • Experience with proprietary/custom rendering engines
  • Experience developing on current generation consoles
Listed below are the two base pay ranges associated with this role at multiple levels. In other locations that Bungie has approved for remote work, this pay range may be adjusted up to +/- 10% and some roles may be classified as non-exempt (hourly). 

This range is determined by an array of factors, including training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. Additionally, it is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Bellevue Pay Range I
$162,000$191,000 USD
Bellevue Pay Range II
$200,000$235,000 USD
 
Bungie full-time (non-contract) employees in the U.S. also receive:
  • 20 days of accrued time-off in the form of PTO and sabbatical days, depending on the level of the position
  • 10 paid Floating Days annually, prorated in the first year of employment based on start date
  • 10 paid Bungie-observed holidays annually
  • One hour of Paid Sick Time (PST) for every 30 hours worked 

Contract and International FTE employees receive competitive benefits through their relevant contracting agency.

Prospective full-time employees located outside of CA, CO, DC, FL, GA, ID, IL, MA, MD, MI, MN, NC, NJ, NY, OR, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, or WI will need to establish residency in one of the states we are compliant in within 45 days of a start date. Contractors will follow a digital first approach adhering to the location guidelines agreed upon by our third-party employer/vendor and Bungie.
