Position Details

Position Summary

This Head of Data and Research role will support Southampton FC's performance analysis and data-driven decision making. The position involves analyzing football performance, providing insights to coaching staff, and contributing to player recruitment and development.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze match and training performance data
• Provide video and statistical analysis to coaching staff
• Support opposition scouting and tactical preparation
• Contribute to player recruitment analysis
• Create performance reports and presentations
• Utilize sports analytics software and tools

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Sports Science, Data Analytics, or related field
• 2-3 years of experience in football performance analysis
• Proficiency in video analysis and statistical software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities
• Deep understanding of football tactics and performance metrics
• Ability to work irregular hours including match days
