ClassPass in China 

By entering into mainland China market in 2019, ClassPass has now partnered with1900+ studios across five major cities (Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Hangzhou). This diverse network encompasses Open Gyms, Yoga, Pilates, Dance, Boxing, Luxury hotels, Beauty and Wellness services.

Over the past three years, ClassPass has consistently achieved a compound annual growth rate over 100%, displaying its remarkable success in the Chinese market.

About the right team member

We are seeking an experienced Senior Growth Marketing Manager to lead the development and execution of the China marketing strategy at ClassPass. As a head of the marketing team, you will be responsible for driving acquisition and revenue growth by leading a small team and hands-on initiatives. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of marketing channels, metrics, and technology solutions, along with a proven track record of driving successful marketing initiatives.

About the role

  • Oversee the growth marketing strategy in mainland China, responsible for the overall user growth and revenue of the business.
  •  Manage a small team including acquisition, social media, lifecycle, and CX.
  • Hit acquisition and conversion targets via highly effective ideation, execution, and management of strategic marketing programs.
  • Challenge the status quo, generate insights, and lead optimization of existing channels by transferring the marketing channel performance into rigorous quantitative analysis.
  • Lead content marketing strategy and its role in performance marketing to drive engagement and conversions.
  • Utilize our social accounts and CX as a growth channel and ensure our brand image is in a good shape.
  • Collaborate with the Product and Creative teams to deliver the most effective message to our target customers.
  • Manage agencies or contractors required to generate compelling content and collateral and execute growth campaigns.
  • Manage the annual marketing budget, allocating funds strategically to maximize return on investment.
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis to senior management, highlighting campaign performance, key insights, and recommendations for future strategies.

Skills & experience

  • 10 year’s experience in marketing with 5 years in a growth marketing role.
  • Experience in managing a small but agile marketing team.
  • Deep understanding of B2C growth marketing (ideally for an App or MiniApp), with the ability to generate, analyze, and interpret data to make informed decisions.
  • Creative thinker with a test-and-learn mentality to innovate and improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset, with attention to detail.
  • Entrepreneurship, highly self-motivated and is good at taking initiatives for marketing programs.
  • Ability to work in high-growth environments that require flexibility, continuous innovation, and an appetite for adapting to change.
  • Quick learner with the aptitude and attitude to immerse yourself in new challenges.
  • Excellent English speaking and writing skills.
  • Experience in a start-up environment is a plus.
  • Fitness and wellness lover is a big plus.
