As the Head of Market Launch, North America, this will be a pivotal role reporting directly to the CEO and responsible for establishing and scaling Intellect’s presence in the region, focusing on the US market.
This role demands a resourceful and adaptable leader who excels not only in strategic thinking and heavy execution, but also in building key partnerships and driving revenue growth through sales, market presence, and ecosystem relationships. You will be in charge of building and driving a lean, efficient operation in the initial stages and scaling the infrastructure as the market grows. This is a highly impactful and unique opportunity to lead from the front, establishing the foundations that will enable Intellect’s long-term success in the US and North America.
- Go-to-market strategy and execution
- Develop and drive a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for the US market, focusing on successful market entry, sustainable growth, and market presence.
- Balance high-level strategy with practical, hands-on execution, working closely with global and local teams to ensure seamless implementation.
- Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities in the already mature US benefits and healthcare sectors, shaping strategies that drive revenue and operational efficiency in areas we can win.
- Revenue growth, sales, and business development
- Lead revenue generation initiatives, creating and executing sales and business development strategies to achieve growth targets.
- Build and nurture strategic relationships with brokers, insurers, corporate clients, and other key stakeholders in the benefits ecosystem, positioning Intellect as a trusted mental health partner.
- Drive end-to-end sales cycles, from lead generation to closing partnerships, actively contributing to the region’s revenue growth.
- Partnership & ecosystem building
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with brokers, insurers, corporate clients, and other key stakeholders in the benefits ecosystem to position Intellect as a trusted mental health partner.
- Take a hands-on approach to business development, leading end-to-end partnerships cycles, securing strategic partnerships, and building a strong market presence.
- Work collaboratively with global teams to tailor Intellect’s offerings for North American clients, ensuring our products are competitive, impactful, and aligned with client needs.
- Lean operations & scalability
- Build and manage a lean operational setup in the initial phase, ensuring efficient use of resources while meeting quality standards.
- Establish scalable processes and frameworks that allow the operation to grow as market demand increases, ultimately evolving into a robust, high-performance operation.
- Oversee all operational setup for compliance, customer onboarding, and service delivery, addressing day-to-day challenges and ensuring readiness for rapid growth.
- Cross-functional collaboration
- Serve as the primary point of contact for North American operations, ensuring alignment with global product, marketing, and customer success teams.
- Drive cross-functional initiatives to adapt global strategies for the North American market, ensuring that our offerings resonate locally.
- Team building & leadership:
- As the market scales, recruit, lead, and mentor a small team across commercial and operational functions, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
- Demonstrate hands-on leadership, actively supporting team members while setting clear expectations for accountability and excellence.
Requirements
- Experience in a market launch, business development, or management role, ideally within the benefits or healthcare industry. Possible background profiles you may have:
- Business development, sales leadership, or partnerships in relevant B2B sectors
- Management consulting in market expansion or growth strategy
- Go-to-market strategy or product marketing with market localisation experience
- Operations management in startups or high-growth companies
- Regional or general management with multi-functional oversight in new markets
- Corporate development or M&A focused on strategic market entry
- Entrepreneurship or founder experience, especially in scaling ventures from zero to one
- Proven success in balancing strategic planning with heavy execution in high-growth or launch-phase environments.
- Strong understanding of the US and North American benefits landscape, with a record of building partnerships, establishing market presence, and driving growth in the benefits or healthcare sectors.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and engage key industry stakeholders.
- A proactive “doer” mentality, with a passion for taking ownership and driving projects from concept through to completion.
- Experience in high-growth, startup, or fast-paced environments.
- Background in benefits or healthcare services is not a must but highly desirable.
