BEAT81 is Europe’s fastest-growing fitness company. We combine science-based training with technology and a high-energy community experience – across a rapidly expanding network of urban gyms.

Our workout is intense. Our execution needs to be flawless.

To scale to 1,000+ bikes and dozens of locations, we are looking for a senior execution leader who ensures that everything inside our gyms simply works – reliably, consistently, and at scale.

Your Mission

As Head of Operations, you will own the end-to-end reliability of everything physical and technical inside our gyms – plus the supply chain and commercial vendor relationships that make it all possible.

You manage will two teams directly: R&D (Product Hardware) and Supply Chain Management. Together, you ensure new solutions are not only innovative, but operationally viable, commercially optimized, efficiently rolled out, and sustainably embedded across all locations.

Your scope covers bikes, power meters, sensors, sound systems, lighting, workout boxes, cardio machines, headphones, microphones, and all connected hardware setups. You own the equipment from specification through vendor negotiation, procurement, warehouse distribution, installation, maintenance, and end-of-life – across both active gyms and new launches.

Your mission is to create clarity, speed, and reliability across our gyms – ensuring seamless collaboration and turning innovation into stable, scalable day-to-day operations.

This is not a purely technical role.

It is not a purely operational role.

It sits at the intersection of R&D, supply chain, operations, and systems thinking.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN

End-to-End Gym Reliability

  • Single point of ownership for all physical and technical hardware in BEAT81 gyms
  • High uptime, operational safety, and consistent member experience
  • Long-term scalability and cost-efficient lifecycle management

Hardware Maintenance & Execution

  • Reliability of sensor-based systems (our USP!) and data accuracy
  • Processes for maintenance and replacement of bikes (incl. power meters) and cardio machines
  • Rollout and stability of sound systems, microphones, headphones, and lighting
  • Rollout of our upcoming innovative workout box

Supply Chain & Commercial Management

  • End-to-end equipment supply chain: specification, ordering, warehousing, and distribution to studios
  • Commercial vendor negotiations: pricing, volume terms, payment conditions, and contract optimization
  • Procurement execution for studio furniture and non-workout items (to architect/design specifications)
  • Structured ordering processes with per-studio visibility and cost control

R&D Management

  • Direct management of the R&D / Product Hardware team
  • Ensuring new solutions are operationally viable and scalable before rollout
  • Translating innovation into stable, repeatable operations

Launch Readiness (Equipment & Hardware)

  • Equipment and hardware readiness for new gym openings, in coordination with the Expansion team
  • Hardware ordering, delivery, installation coordination, and testing
  • Post-rollout stability and risk reduction

Operational Performance & KPIs

  • Create and own clear SOPs and Playbooks
  • Define and track uptime, availability, and readiness KPIs
  • Own workout equipment P&L lines and drive cost efficiency
  • Identify systemic reliability risks and drive continuous improvement

Who You Are

  • 6+ years experience in operations, hardware execution, technical infrastructure, or similar multi-site environments
  • Strong process mindset with hands-on execution capability
  • Comfortable owning complex technical setups in real-world environments (bikes, sensors, audio, IoT)
  • Commercial acumen: experienced negotiating vendor terms, managing procurement budgets, and optimizing cost structures
  • People leadership: able to manage and develop a small team across technical and commercial functions
  • KPI-driven, structured, and solution-oriented
  • Calm under pressure, decisive, and pragmatic
  • Willing to be physically present in gyms when needed

Experience in fitness, retail tech, hospitality, or multi-site operations is a strong plus.

A track record of vendor negotiations and supply chain optimization is highly valued.
