OVERVIEW:
Are you our next Head of People - 12 month FTC Mat cover? We’re looking for someone to join our People team, to help shape the Gymshark people strategy as part of the People leadership team and build the people agenda for defined functions, acting as an internal consultant, change agent and people leader.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Acting as a trusted partner to executives as part of their function’s senior leadership team, providing expert guidance and challenge on people initiatives from development to deployment and evaluation. Ensuring the functional agenda aligns to the People strategy.
- Supporting the CPO in developing the People strategy and providing functional insights to support its definition and successful deployment as part of the People leadership team.
- Directing allocated people workstreams and cross-team projects – inspiring project teams to deliver progressive plans that optimise employee experience and performance.
- Diagnosing the connections between business goals and people solutions, providing commercially savvy and culture-centric solutions to stakeholders.
- Consulting on organisational design and development activities for allocated functions, ensuring the required structure, skills and capabilities are in place to support business plans.
- Workforce and headcount planning in line with the function’s commercial requirements – cognisant of OD, talent capability and budgetary considerations.
- Acting as a change agent, driving transformation, restructuring or cultural change activities as a key people leader, supporting all aspects of planning, execution and advising on risk.
- Leading the support of senior stakeholders with talent management activities – developing and driving succession and talent planning activities to ensure their function has the talent required to achieve its strategic goals both short and long term.
- Coaching and mentoring – providing business stakeholders with the support, skills and tools to drive high performance and harness the potential of their teams.
- Collaborating effectively with People Specialists across Talent Acquisition, Pay & Perks, DE&I and Performance, and on programmes impacting the organisation.
- Oversee and advise on the resolution of complex and senior employee relations cases.
- Educating stakeholders on the DEI strategy and ensuring its proper consideration in people plans and decision making.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Essential Criteria:
- Demonstrable experience as a people leader and strategic business partner within dynamic, scaling organisations.
- Experience in developing and deploying people initiatives operating with a willingness to embrace change, innovate and push boundaries.
- Advanced knowledge of UK employment legislation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, an ability to flex across various audiences to deliver information with impact and influence.
- Experience of significant change management/OD projects including reorganisation, restructure and TUPE.
- An ability to thrive within a fast paced and ambiguous environment, managing multiple competing priorities with confidence and proactivity.
- An ambassador for the Gymshark values with a strong understanding and passion for Gymshark’s mission.
- Strong business acumen, analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Intellectual curiosity, excellent attention to detail and follow-up.
- High degree of professional ethics, integrity, and emotional intelligence.

We would be open to this role being 4 days per week. This is a hybrid role and would require the successful candidate to attend at least 3 days a week in GSIQ, Solihull, UK.
