Position Overview:
The primary responsibility of this position is to support the MLB Property Sales, Partnership Activation, Partnership Marketing and Media Teams with the day‐to‐day management of various hospitality, ticketing and industry event coordination needs.

What You Will Do:

  • Hospitality Sales Support
    • Assist Executives with the development and creation of invitations, presentations and other printed matter and collateral pieces, etc. to ensure deadlines are met and the highest quality work can be provided
    • Support the sales and activation team on necessary projects and tasks including securing venues, tracking event RSVPs, managing a budget and client gifting.
    • Work directly with sales and activation team on internal and external industry events, scheduling, ticket distribution and client communication
    • Set up internal and externals calls and meetings for sales and activation team and perform necessary outreach and follow-up
    • Attend and participate in meetings, as appropriate
  • Client & Department Support & Management
    • Assist Executives with communication between clients via email, telephone
    • Work with Executives to ensure hospitality, ticketing pipelines, and client lists are updated as directed
    • Help maintain (CRM database) - system updates and contact database development
    • Provide CRM pipeline reports as directed for respective hospitality events
    • Assist with account management tasks such scheduling/organizing meetings and calls and other special projects that require acting as the liaison for operations
    • Liaison between Sales and Client Services team to assist with account management tasks including event invitations, ticketing, hospitality and venue coordination  and other special projects tied to Jewel Events and Jewel Event activations
  • Other & Administrative
    • Various additional projects and duties as assigned
    • Assist in administrative tasks for sales accounts and contribute to day-to-day department operations and management
    • Administrative responsibilities will include booking travel, coordinating meeting invites and doing expenses for select senior executives

 Required Characteristics/Skill Set:

  • Excellent proposal writing, and proposal structuring skills needed including extraordinary attention to detail, consistency and grammar
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent project management and administrative skills
  • Self-motivated and ability to prioritize and manage work flow and efficiently multi-task on important projects
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain an honest and effective working relationships
  • Willing and able to travel as needed
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment and form strong relationships with colleagues, clients, agencies, brands, teams, leagues and sports & entertainment organizations
  • Must maintain a positive attitude, professionalism, integrity, motivation and a strong work ethic
  • A passionate interest in sports business and understanding of sports business industry, specifically property sales and corporate partnerships

 Requirements:

  • 4 year college degree
  • Applicant must have a minimum of two (2) years of team, league, event, facility, agency or other relevant promotional or sponsorship sales and activation coordination experience
  • Mandatory computer skills and strong social media skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, as well as Photoshop
    • Must have advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills as work with these two programs will be heavy

Per the NYC pay transparency law, the hiring range for this position is $58,500 - $65,000.

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skills and any other factors Major League Baseball (MLB) considers relevant to the hiring decision. In addition to your salary, MLB believes in providing a competitive compensation and benefits package for its employees.
