About the role Joining us in a full‑time, max‑term role as an Inclusion, Equity & Diversity Pathways & Events Specialist (IE&D), you will support an inclusive annual events calendar that grows participation in Wheelchair, Intellectual Disability and Autism, Deaf Hard of Hearing, Blind Low Vision and Para‑Standing tennis. The role will also be asked to support the planning and delivery of other key tennis events that support Tennis Australia’s aspiration to be a fully inclusive and accessible sport including the delivery of the Glam Slam, the National Indigenous Tennis Carnival and other events that provide a platform for players from these communities to connect and compete. Reporting to the National Lead of IE&D Pathway Events, in this role you will be responsible for: Supporting the development and delivery of the annual performance calendar for Wheelchair tennis, including the AO Wheelchair tournament. Providing operational and administrative support to ensure all DE&I events are delivered smoothly on budget and in line with governing‑body requirements. Leading the delivery of key national championships, including the Australian BLV Championships, DHoH Open and IDA Championships. Managing the creation and delivery of competitive opportunities across IDA, DHOH, BLV and Para‑Standing tennis. Spearheading the planning and delivery of the AO Glam Slam, our LGBTQ+ inclusive community tournament, in partnership with the AO Event Operations team. Supporting the planning and on‑ground delivery of the National Indigenous Tennis Carnival, working closely with Tennis NT to uphold our values and RAP commitments.
About you To be successful in this role you will bring: Demonstrated experience planning and delivering events for diverse and inclusive athlete groups.
Tertiary qualifications in administration, project management or marketing (preferred). Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong, collaborative stakeholder relationships. Hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia What’s to love?
