About The Team:

The 2K Technical Infrastructure and Operations team is responsible for the operations and infrastructure of all consumer-facing production systems, developer-facing production-development systems, and customer-facing account services and websites under the 2K label.  The team manages systems and services spanning multiple terrestrial and cloud-based data centers.

What You Will Do

• You will be a part of the technical team that is responsible for implementing and maintaining observability best practices
• Work with other technical teams on setting up SLAs and KPIs and reflecting them in observability tools
• Work with Incident Response Team to provide valuable information on the observability platform to speed up the resolution process
• Propose and implement automation in regard to observability infrastructure
• Focus on changing the reactive observability model to a more proactive one

 Who We Think Will Be a Great Fit:

• You understand the importance of having a good observability platform and how it impacts resolution times
• You have a  natural aptitude for written and verbal communication and are able to tailor presentations from individual contributors through senior management
• You have a solid understanding of data flows, tracing, and transformation of raw numbers into useful information for other teams
• You can use the observability platform to serve the information in a clear and concise manner through visualization best practices
• You are able to explain technical concepts in a way that is understandable by non-technical people
• You are able to teach junior engineers and explain the thought process
• You have 5+ years of large-scale production network or systems operations and enjoy talking reliability engineering
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent technical field or similar work experience in a large-scale 24/7 production environment supporting critical, real-time applications

• Previous expert level knowledge and experience with observability platforms 
• Experience in monitoring virtualized environments and cloud implementations
• Experience in tracing and application level monitoring
• Experience with public cloud providers
• Experience with infrastructure as a code concept
• Experience with networking concepts
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience with data visualization
• Experience working in the gaming industry
• Experience with standard IT models 
• Experience with enterprise-scale operations and maintenance environments
