About the Team: Technical Infrastructure and Operations

We are responsible for the operations and infrastructure of all consumer-facing production systems, developer-facing production-development systems, and customer-facing account services and websites under our label. The team handles systems and services spanning multiple terrestrial and cloud-based data centers.

What You Will Do

  • You will be a part of the technical team that is responsible for troubleshooting and remediating incidents/problems across the 2K label.
  • Be a point of escalation for solving expected and unexpected issues and events involving production applications, systems, and cloud infrastructure
  • Maintain the infrastructure both on-premise or in public cloud platforms
  • Propose and implement automation in regard of infrastructure
  • Work with SRE teams on onboarding and implementation of proposed solutions
  • Keep everything up and running!

  • Proven understanding of systems and applications and how they operate

  • Comprehension of technical concepts to a degree of being able to communicate them concisely to non-technical audience
  • Ability to guide junior engineers and explain the thought process
  • You have 3+ years of large-scale production network or systems operations and enjoy talking reliability engineering
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent experience in technical field in a large-scale 24/7 production environment supporting critical, real-time applications

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with day-to-day operations with operating systems
    • Linux / Windows
  • Virtualized environments and cloud implementations
    • VMware, Proxmox, KVM, Hyper-V, WSL
  • Experience with public cloud providers
    • AWS, GCP, Azure
  • Experience with IAAC concepts
    • Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Pulumi
  • Understanding of the basic networking concepts
    • Commonly used protocols
    • Firewall permissions
    • Basic network triage
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexibility to work with the globally distributed team

Bonus skills

  • Experience with containers
  • Basic understanding of scripting languages (Powershell, Python)
  • Experience working in gaming industry
  • Experience with observability platforms (DataDog, CheckMK, Nagios, NewRelic)
