Location

London Office (Note: You must already have full legal right to live and work in the United Kingdom)

What You’ll Do

As a Legal Intern at the NBA’s London office, you’ll gain practical experience across a wide range of legal functions while working closely with our in-house legal counsel. You’ll be involved in:

Assisting Attorneys with drafting and reviewing contracts, including NDAs, vendor agreements, and service contracts.

Conducting legal research on topics such as intellectual property, data privacy, broadcast rights, and regulatory issues.

Supporting compliance work, including due diligence, risk assessment, and internal policy reviews.

Monitoring legal and regulatory developments that affect our operations across Europe and the Middle East.

Helping with governance, policy implementation, and document management across departments.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about sports, commercially minded, and eager to apply their legal skills in a real-world business environment. Ideal candidates will have:

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Law (or related field) completed within the last two years
A solid understanding of commercial and contract law; interest in IP, data privacy, and sports law is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and organisational skills
A proactive and professional approach to problem-solving
Comfort working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Eligibility

Full legal right to live and work in the United Kingdom
Available full-time from September 2025 to September 2026
In-person work required at the London office
Paid internship; compensation details will be shared with shortlisted candidates

Sunday 15th June (midnight) – Applications close
16th June – 4th July – Telephone screening and shortlisting
Week commencing 7th July – HR arranges interviews and shares candidate profiles
Week commencing 14th July – In-person interviews
Week commencing 21st July – Internship offers made, onboarding begins
Monday 7th September – Internship start date
