The Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games will be hosted in Los Angeles, California in 2028, returning to the United States for the first time in over 30 years. 2028 will be the first time LA hosts the Paralympic Games, creating an opportunity to expand awareness, understanding and inclusion of people with disabilities.
LA28, the organizers for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles, is on a mission to create an unparalleled Games experience for athletes, fans, partners, our community and our people. The 2028 Olympics and Paralympics will represent LA and leverage the strength of our community’s diversity and creativity as we collectively work to design a Games that we all want to be a part of. We do this by focusing on people and by inviting everyone into the story of the LA28 Games.
The LA28 organizing committee is an independent, non-profit organization that is privately funded and governed by a board of directors.
The 2025 LA28 Internship Program gives current and recent undergraduate students the opportunity to contribute hands-on, meaningful work to crucial planning stages for the 2028 Olympic & Paralympic Games. Interns will be placed in a specific functional area, directly supporting the day-to-day work and long-term projects of the team. In addition, interns will participate in unique roundtables, community service, and research projects as a cohort to deepen understanding of the organization, our mission, and key skillsets to pursue a future field of their choice. This is a paid, 10-week, 30-hour-a-week program, in person at our Los Angeles Headquarters.
The Games Logistics & Services team at LA28 leads the planning and implementation of the delivery of people, goods, and services to the multiple Olympic venues spread throughout the region. We are looking for interns in the following functional areas (FAs): National Olympic and Paralympic Committee Services and Relations (NCS) and Transportation (TRA). NCS is responsible for coordinating with and assisting the National Olympic and Paralympic Committees (NOCs/NPCs) in planning their team’s participation at the LA28 Games while the Transportation group focuses on the functional and physical planning of the individual venues and the movement of people and goods within and between the venues.
Interns on the Games Logistics & Services team should be enthusiastic, flexible, curious, and eager to try new things. Applicants will be considered for the two FAs listed but will be selected based on relevant experiences and skillsets.

The Games Operations & Delivery team is looking for an intern in each of the following areas: National Olympic and Paralympic Committee Services and Relations (NCS) and Transportation (TRA). If you are interested in both areas, we kindly request applicants to rank their choices and provide an explanation within their application.
Transportation: The LA28 Transportation department oversees all the planning and delivery of transportation elements of the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. We aim to deliver a seamless system that serves all athletes, stakeholders, spectators, and workforce, while keeping the LA region moving. Familiarity with Excel, PowerPoint, GIS, and project management skills would be desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
National Olympic and Paralympic Committee Services and Relations (NCS): NCS facilitates the relationships and planning between the 206 National Olympic Committees (NOC) and 183 National Paralympic Committees (NPC) and LA28. A truly global and cross-functional team, NCS serves as a key channel for communication, education, facilitation, and coordination to help all NOCs and NPCs plan for the LA28 Games.

Interns can expect an hourly rate of $18.00 per hour and will be scheduled to work a 30-hour week. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
