Responsibilities: 

The purpose of this role is to act as a clinical leader and collaborating physician with Nurse Practitioners. 

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Serve as collaborating physician with APRNs
  • Providing resources and education to Nurse Practitioners
  • Clinical care protocol development and updates
  • Lead efforts at Midi to design best care by being aligned with evidence based practices and expert guidelines
  • Support continuing education for providers by creating slide decks, delivering taped lectures, and/or written updates.
  • Support community and patient education through writings, web based information sessions and/or in person events.
  • Support the clinical team with informed and expert responses to complex case questions
  • Deliver patient care via telehealth platform 
    • Medical assessment, including reviewing patient histories, symptoms, and laboratory reports

Deliver care in accordance with our care model and protocols.  This is inclusive of prescribing appropriate mediations and therapeutics, diagnostics and recommendations to patients on health management inclusive of preventive care measures, and lifestyle modifications to improve overall wellness.

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMRs) of patient consultations, treatment plans, and other pertinent information
    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, specialists, and support staff to coordinate patient care and referrals
    • Ensure compliance with telemedicine regulations, ethical standards, and patient confidentiality protocols

Qualifications: 

  • Unencumbered, unrestricted license to practice as an Internal Medicine physician (MD or DO) in Pennsylvania 
  • Experience collaborating with Nurse Practitioners preferred 
  • Ability to commit 8-16 hours/week
  • Experience caring for  women experiencing perimenopause and menopause symptoms, including weight management 

 

Additional Qualifications Preferred

  • Clinical research 
  • Active multi state licensures
  • NAMs certification
