OVERVIEW

We are seeking an International Tax Manager to join our growing internal tax department to support the growth and expansion of the Company.  An ideal candidate would have a minimum of 5 years of experience in general income tax in public accounting and/or private industry with emphasis in international taxation for one or two years.  The International Tax Manager will assist the International Tax Senior Manager and the Head of Tax in the Company’s international expansion and global structuring, as well as the tax compliance work (both income and indirect) for the local country and from the US tax perspective, which will mostly be prepared by third party service providers.  The International Tax Manager would work mainly on international income and indirect tax matters since the other subdivisions within the tax department (domestic income tax and indirect tax) are being managed and handled by other subdivisions.  We are looking for a team player with excellent communication skills, proactivity, and a strategic/curious mindset

RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Assist in managing the overall international tax compliance functions by collaborating with an external service provider to review the US international tax returns.
  • Manage and collaborate with external service providers for local country income tax compliance engagements.
  • Manage and collaborate with external service providers for VAT reporting across over 40 countries and prepare the VAT tax returns on an as needed basis.
  • Manage and collaborate with external service providers for transfer pricing studies from the various foreign country perspectives and the US perspective, and calculate the transfer pricing adjustments on an as needed basis.
  • Interact with internal business units to provide information requested by external service providers
  • Assist in reviewing the year-end (foreign) income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740.
  • Assist Head of Tax and International Tax Senior Manager for the Company’s international expansion from the tax perspective.
  • Assist Head of Tax and International Tax Senior Manager for the global structuring and planning from the tax perspective.
  • Assist Head of Tax and International Tax Senior Manager in Tax Team’s pursuit of the international credit and incentive opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree in Taxation or a related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Public Accounting and/or Private Industry, with minimum 1 year of international tax experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • Ability to manage relationships with external service providers.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, and be detail-oriented.
  • Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent PC skills, including advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with a large ERP system is a plus.
  • Ability to problem solve and take initiative, highly motivated.
  • Team player.

The base salary range for this position is $140,000 - $160,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits
