About Kambi

Kambi Group plc is a leading B2B provider of premium sports betting services to licensed gaming operators. Our services provide an end-to-end solution for operators wanting to launch a standalone Sportsbook or bolster their existing offering with an innovative sports betting product. From front-end user interface to customer intelligence, risk management and odds compiling, all built on our in-house developed software, we strive to deliver the ultimate service and solution to our partners.

Our vision is to create the world’s leading sports betting experiences, together with our partners.

Join Kambi’s Data Platform stream and help shape the future of our near real-time data and self-service solution!

We’re looking for an experienced Java developer with a solid engineering mindset and an interest in building systems that make data available at scale and in real time. If you also have experience in working with SQL and data modelling, that’s a strong plus.
At Kambi, we believe in the power of data to inform, improve, and transform — and our goal is to enable our partners through a high-quality, low-latency data API.

 The Role & Responsibilities

As part of Kambi’s Data Platform, you’ll be working on the core services that ensure our customers can consume accurate, consistent, and up-to-date data across our domains. Our team builds a modern, close to real time API that can be used by our partners and third party providers to gain insights from the data we offer, as well as build insightful reporting and analytics solutions – all in a cloud-native environment.
Over time focus for our team may shift closer to other Data Platform’s teams, who build the other part of our self-service solution – data products.

In our team you may expect to work with:

  • Java 21+
  • Spring framework
  • REST/Json
  • Linux
  • AWS
  • Kubernetes (K8s)
  • Apache Kafka
  • GitHub
  • Jenkins
  • NoSQL (MongoDB/documentDB)
  • AI assistant

To thrive with us, you should have professional experience developing, deploying, and maintaining backend systems in an agile environment, and you take pride in writing clean, testable code that lasts. You’re comfortable collaborating in a cross-functional, self-organising team and enjoy working end-to-end on the services you own.  In this role, we also appreciate a coaching mindset — someone who enjoys supporting teammates, sharing knowledge, and helping others grow along the way.

Is Kambi a place for you?

We highly value soft skills such as collaboration, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Our teams have a high level of autonomy in decisions around solutions and ways of working. You will thrive in this role if you are curious, enjoy technical discussions with your team and willing to collaborate to find the most suitable solution.

We offer a friendly, welcoming, and inclusive working culture in an international work environment. We value learning and development, both on an individual level and as a whole organization. It is important for us that we grow together. We like to have fun with our colleagues, but we also understand that each employee needs their flexibility to thrive.

And one last thing...

We would be happy if you tick off all our boxes, yet we also believe it is just as important we tick off all of yours. And if you think you have most of what we are looking for, but not every single thing, go ahead and hit apply. We would still love to hear from you!

We want a balance between office work and working from home. We believe we will all gain from the best of both worlds, so the way of working in Kambi is hybrid – we want to have a chance to work with you in our Stockholm office 2 days in a week.
