Let’s start with the role:

A Junior Security Engineer in Kaizen Gaming is part of the Security Engineering Team, responsible for ensuring the appropriate level of Security Controls are in place across the IT Infrastructure. Specifically, the security design is in place to prevent, capture and remediate, in a timely manner, Information Security related incidents. Kaizen Gaming operations span across many different regions, each with its own unique risk levels. The security configurations must comply with specific  information security requirements set by laws, regulators, licensing bodies and security standards. Most importantly, they  ensure that customers and other stakeholders feel assured when using Kaizen Gaming’s services and working with the company.The Junior Security Engineer, along with the team, will take all necessary actions to ensure that risks stemming from security incidents are identified and addressed promptly, minimizing any business disruptions that could impact Company revenue and regulatory compliance. 

As part of the role, the Junior Security Engineer ensures that the design, specification, implementation and operation of security controls for the systems and networks align with the Company’s information security policy, minimizing the probability and impact of security incidents. Finally, the engineer will contribute to enhancing the current Security Controls and measures with new technologies and controls, supporting the broader goals of the Security Engineering team.

Main responsibilities:

• Analyze security incidents and recommend appropriate countermeasures;
• Analyze new projects and services to ensure they are properly hardened;
• Provide consultation to Tech teams regarding Logging requirements and alerting capabilities;
• Research and deploy Security systems and solutions, while managing third party providers of security services;
• Organize and standardize the logging of Infrastructure Components;
• Participate in Audits with a technical focus;
• Setup alerting in alignment with the requirements of Kaizen Gaming Security Posture and the Operations. 

Requirements

• Log Analysis Capabilities;  
• Computer Systems monitoring Experience;
• Good understanding of multiple IT Components;
• Analytical Thinking; 
• Strong communication skills; 
• Strong sense of ownership;
• Audit Experience;
• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Information Security or in related field is preferred;
• Working knowledge of ISO 27001 Controls.
