OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a Junior Product Developer who will be responsible for supporting the accessories team, managing the development and execution of styles from concept to launch.

You will assist the team to bring to market, world class, fit for purpose product built and engineered to Gymshark standards. As a Junior Product Developer you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational tasks, to deliver the goals and objectives set by the Senior Product Developer and Product Development Manager, in line with the company vision.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Supporting development and proto reviews, led by the Senior Developer, including analysing and communicating the outcome of shape and construction with cross functional and regional teams and vendors.
Supporting with the management of accessories to ensure compliance of measurements, quality, construction and fit.
Understanding, recommending, and executing commercial construction solutions.
Supporting with the developing and creating of Tech Packs and BOMs with high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Supporting the Senior Developer to manage styles/collections from concept to launch
Planning and organising allocated workload and assisting in daily communication and cross functional teams to plan and execute all aspects of development.
Engaging in R&D to ensure world-class garment construction and engineering.
Supporting the Senior Team Leaders with the reporting and tracking against the Product Creation Calendar and Critical Path.
Collaborating with the Materials team on new fabric, trim, and logo developments, bringing a high level of inputs and considerations to fabric selection meetings, ensuring products are built fit for purpose.
Supporting Senior Developer to identify styles that require wear testing and organising and co-ordinating wear test trials across the team.
Supporting the execution of seasonal projects and seasonal product meetings.
Supporting with analysing data to offer viable solutions and ideas, including returns data for responsible styles, benchmarks, and other relevant product data.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Essential Skills:

Previous accessories experience in a design/development/buying environment.
Keen interested in sportswear or performance accessories.
Good construction, fit and engineering skills and an understanding of performance fabrics.
Strong attention to detail.
Demonstrate a pro-active approach to problem solving.
Flexible and open to evolving business needs and priorities.
Keen to build strong commercial awareness and understanding.
Keen to work in a fast-paced environment
Good knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Adobe Illustrator.

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of pattern making/accessories construction an advantage
Experience using PLM systems is an advantage

This is a hybrid role and would require the successful candidate to attend at least 3 days a week in GSHQ, Solihull, UK.
