Job Description

Spotlight Sports Group is a global media and technology company specialising in content and data within sports betting, horse racing and fantasy sports. With over 400 employees, the group operates multiple award-winning brands, including Racing Post, the world’s largest horse racing affiliate, Pickswise, myracing and Free Super Tips. We partner with leading operators across the betting industry to produce and build multilingual, best-in-class digital products and content to engage and educate customers. ICS-digital, an international marketing agency including ICS-translate, also operates under the group.

Now we’re expanding our video and audio team to take that heritage into bold new spaces: high-impact short-form videos, blue-chip podcasts and lively racing and sports panel shows. If you love creating content that informs, entertains and connects fans across every platform, this is your chance to shape the next chapter of an iconic media brand.

This role will be working from our London office 3 days a week and 2 days working from home.

You will play a key role in helping shape Racing Post’s social storytelling, creating short-form video content that captures the excitement, drama and personality of horse racing. The Junior Social Video Producer will support the wider team by filming, editing and publishing daily content, contributing fresh ideas and developing their craft as part of a fast-paced, innovative video team.

  • Work closely with the Senior Social Video Producer and Social team to deliver high-quality videos optimised for each platform.
  • Contribute ideas for reactive, trending and evergreen content to engage new and existing audiences.
  • Support with filming on location and in studio, setting up cameras, lighting and sound.
  • Edit and subtitle videos for a range of platforms, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines.
  • Monitor and report on content performance, learning from analytics to improve future output.
  • Assist in sourcing, clearing and crediting user-generated content where appropriate.
  • Maintain video asset libraries, templates and caption files.
  • Collaborate with editorial and marketing teams to ensure content aligns with Racing Post’s voice and editorial priorities.
  • Work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and evenings around key racing events.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years’ experience creating social-first video content, or a strong portfolio of creative self-started work.
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro; basic knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator desirable.
  • Good understanding of platform best practices for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, Facebook and X.
  • Strong creative instincts and a good eye for framing, pacing and storytelling.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under time pressure.
  • Comfortable using DSLR or mirrorless cameras to film interviews, events and short pieces to camera.
  • Excellent organisational skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to take direction and feedback.
  • A passion for sport and horse racing is a plus, but an enthusiasm for social video and creative storytelling is essential.
