Crytek is looking for a passionate and experienced Junior Technical Animator to join the Hunt: Showdown team in our new state-of-the-art office in Frankfurt, Germany. We are looking for a creatively minded and driven team member who can communicate well with programmers\animators\Character Artist to develop cutting edge technology for games.
*Candidate must be proficient in a diverse set of software including 3ds Max / Maya (or equivalent) etc. Experience with programming languages as Python is a plus. *
Responsibilities:Work closely with art and animation departments to create and maintain ‘Animator Friendly’ rigsDevelop character and weapon rigs in Maya, using our intern Rigging Solutions, working in conjunction with the project leaders and the art/programming team.Set up physics and real-time cloth using CryEngine.Proactively seek out inefficiencies and problems in existing processes as well as potential problems.Create and optimize content for memory and performance gains.Demonstrate, communicate and exemplify clear expectations for quality of work, productivity, communication and professionalism to the team.Develop rigging, animation or modelling tools and scripts with pythonWork with other disciplines to ensure the quality of the characters and animation for all aspects of the project.Requirements:First professional production experience with real-time CG characters/Technical Animation in the gaming industry. Experience in the games industry.Good understanding of anatomy, volume and deformation.Strong problem-solving skills.Good knowledge of Maya for animation and rigging.Good knowledge of Animation principles Kinematics and rigging math.Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.Good English communication and writing skills.Eager to learn and improveWhat you can expect from us
