DESCRIPTION
Develop and apply mathematical and statistical theory and methods to drive innovation, new product ideation, product enhancements, experimental design and testing, complex analysis, and delivery of quantitative insights. Participate in full lifecycle of data model development. Support pilot programs for R&D purposes, including exploratory data analysis,trend analyses, and indirect estimation. Identify needs for media analytics, gaps in data quality and coverage, generalization, and harmonization. Work with structured and unstructured data sources relating to imputation, data correction, data integration, and bias reduction. Lead multiple media measurement projects, including project design, deadlines, and delivery. Work with cross-functional teams to design, validate, deploy, optimize and maintain methodologies in a production environment. Maintain and define quality assurance processes across media products, including providing empirical support for methodological decisions, anomaly detection and monitoring, and employing statistical research best practices. Document and present research findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. May work remote full time from anywhere in U.S. or any Nielsen U.S. office.
QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science or related quantitative field and two (2) years of experience (with Master’s) or five (5) years of post-baccalaureate, progressively responsible experience (with Bachelor’s) in job offered or quantitative research role. Prior experience must include (2) years in/with: multivariate statistics (parametric and non-parametric); statistical models and machine learning techniques; big data analysis using SQL; data aggregation techniques; trend analysis; bias reduction; representative sampling; data visualization; quantitative research and data modeling using Python; and working with Cloud computing technologies. Occasional domestic travel required for team or organizational meetings.Salary:
