Position Summary:
We are seeking a Lead Data Scientist with deep experience in Marketing to transform data into actionable insights and algorithms that drive key decisions. This role requires expertise in advanced analytics and machine learning within a consumer business. You will develop predictive models, optimize marketing strategies, and collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Data teams in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do:Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to understand business objectives, frame problems, and develop models and frameworks to solve them.
Lead data science initiatives to enhance acquisition algorithms, channel optimization, and retention solutions.
Build and scale experimentation frameworks, driving insights through A/B testing for acquisition, retention, and engagement strategies.
Develop customer acquisition and retention KPIs, leveraging cohort data to track LTV, CAC, churn, and performance across sales channels.
Utilize data to guide strategic marketing decisions, including budget allocation, targeting strategies, and ad personalization.
Drive actionable insights by analyzing patterns and trends across commercial and customer data, delivering clear and impactful presentations to stakeholders.
Prioritize key data science initiatives that deliver high impact, focusing on growth, personalization, and maximizing customer lifetime value.
Lead efforts to integrate foundational technologies that support real-time data analysis and continuous experimentation.
Foster a deep understanding of business fundamentals, proactively addressing future trends and data needs to support growth and innovation.
Knowledge Requirements:MSc/Phd in Data Science, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field
5+ years of experience in data science or advanced analytics, in consumer industries
Expertise in Python, SQL, Pandas, SparkSQL; familiar with data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
Solid background in statistical analysis, including hypothesis testing and causal inference.
Experience with marketing analytics, including segmentation, LTV, CAC, retention, and familiarity with web analytics tools like Google Analytics or Heap.
Strong expertise in machine learning (predictive modeling, clustering, regression) and experience in deploying models to production.
Experience in building and maintaining data pipelines, ETL processes, and feature engineering.
Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects and effectively communicate data insights to stakeholders.
Strong business acumen in a consumer business with a subscription model and proven success in providing actionable data insights that enabled business growth.
Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment where adaptability is imperative.
Familiarity with AWS, Docker, ECS, Snowflake, DBT, Fivetran, Airflow a plus.
Estimated Salary range:
Our salary intelligence, powered by our AI algorithms, has calculated an estimated range for this position between $150,000 - $200,000 . Please note that the actual salary for this position may vary, as it is dependent on various factors including but not limited to experience, location, and market dynamics.
