We are embarking on an exciting game development project and are seeking a Lead/Senior Environment Artist to join our talented and dynamic team!

In this role, you will take part in designing and creating immersive game environments and assets while optimizing workflows and implementing advanced 3D techniques. You will collaborate with the Art Director, technical artists, and level designers to maintain a cohesive visual style.

What will you do?

  • Design and create detailed and atmospheric game environments and assets that support the artistic vision of the project from scratch, including materials, textures, LODs, crash states.
  • Optimize the environment production pipeline, improve workflows, and implement advanced 3D graphics techniques.
  • Collaborate closely with the Art Director, technical artists, and level designers to achieve a cohesive visual style.
  • Mentor, support, and develop less experienced artists, sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Participate in the development of technical solutions to streamline environment creation without compromising quality.
  • Ensure the created content meets technical requirements and artistic direction.
  • Manage deadlines and efficiency within the environment team.
  • Experiment with new tools and technologies to enhance the production process.

What are we looking for?

  • 5+ years of experience as a Senior/Lead Environment Artist in AAA projects.
  • Strong proficiency with Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, ZBrush, Substance Painter/Designer, and Photoshop.
  • Experience working with game engines (Unreal Engine, Unity, or proprietary engines).
  • Understanding of lighting principles, materials, compositing, and content optimization.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
  • Systematic thinking, ability to optimize pipelines, and propose efficient solutions.
  • Technical understanding of shaders, LODs, and scene optimization.
  • Passion for innovation and keeping up with the latest industry trends.

What additional skills will help you stand out?

  • Experience creating photorealistic environments for next-gen games.
  • Deep knowledge of procedural modeling and environment generation (Houdini, World Machine, etc.).
  • Photogrammetry experience in Metashape/Reality Capture including shooting, processing, cleaning up assets and textures.

Work mode

Hybrid (4 days of work from the office)

The salary range for this role in Vilnius is EUR 4500 - 5500 monthly gross.
