Job Description

Every day, tens of millions of people come to Roblox to explore, create, play, learn, and connect with friends in 3D immersive digital experiences– all created by our global community of developers and creators.

At Roblox, we’re building the tools and platform that empower our community to bring any experience that they can imagine to life. Our vision is to reimagine the way people come together, from anywhere in the world, and on any device. We’re on a mission to connect a billion people with optimism and civility, and looking for amazing talent to help us get there.

A career at Roblox means you’ll be working to shape the future of human interaction, solving unique technical challenges at scale, and helping to create safer, more civil shared experiences for everyone.

The Learning and Coaching Partner serves as an embedded development partner to technical business units at Roblox, combining coaching expertise with learning design to accelerate individual and organizational capability. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Learning and Coaching Partners, this role partners closely with leaders to diagnose development needs, design targeted interventions, and coach leaders through complex challenges from scaling high-performing teams to navigating organizational change.

The ideal candidate is both an expert coach and a strategic learning partner. You're equally comfortable conducting a 1:1 executive coaching session, facilitating a team effectiveness workshop for 50 engineers, or partnering with business leaders to design a custom development pathway for their organization. You bring deep coaching expertise grounded in established methodologies, combined with the business acumen to understand engineering organizations and the instructional design skills to build scalable solutions. You don't just deliver programs—you partner with leaders to build capability, diagnose root causes, and create sustainable change.

You'll work independently with significant autonomy, serving as the primary Learning and Coaching Partner to assigned business units while collaborating closely with People Business Partners, the broader People Experience and Learning (PXL) team, and People Science to deliver integrated solutions.

You Will:

  • Partner with business leaders - Serve as trusted advisor to VPs, Directors, and senior leaders in Creator, DSA, Design & Creative, Economy, Engine and User diagnosing organizational challenges and designing evidence-based development solutions aligned to business strategy
  • Provide executive and leadership coaching - Deliver 1:1 coaching to leaders on topics including executive presence, organizational effectiveness, change leadership, and team performance using established coaching frameworks and methodologies
  • Support Amplify leadership development - Co-facilitate and deliver premier manager and leadership development experiences for leaders, applying evidence-based principles from leadership research to drive behavior change
  • Design custom learning solutions - Partner with business units to create targeted interventions addressing specific capability gaps, from technical leadership development to team effectiveness programs to change management support
  • Lead organizational development initiatives - Diagnose organizational effectiveness challenges and design interventions including culture change, team formation, and cross-functional collaboration improvements
  • Build team effectiveness - Facilitate team offsites, working sessions, and interventions that strengthen collaboration, psychological safety, and performance in engineering-heavy organizations
  • Scale through innovation - Develop scalable coaching and learning experiences using digital platforms, AI-powered tools, group coaching models, and cohort-based learning approaches
  • Drive measurement and iteration - Partner with People Science and Analytics to evaluate coaching and program effectiveness, using data and feedback to continuously refine approaches and demonstrate business impact
  • Collaborate across People teams - Work closely with People Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and People Science to deliver integrated talent solutions and share insights about organizational needs

You have:

  • 10+ years experience in leadership development, organizational development, executive coaching, or related field with demonstrated impact in technology or engineering organizations
  • Professional coaching certification required (ICF ACC/PCC/MCC, CTI, or equivalent recognized coaching credential)
  • Master's degree in Organizational Development, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Adult Learning, Counseling Psychology, or related field and relevant experience
  • Coaching expertise - Extensive experience providing 1:1 coaching to senior leaders and managers, with demonstrated ability to build trust, navigate complex interpersonal dynamics, and drive behavior change
  • Facilitation mastery - Proven ability to facilitate engaging, psychologically safe experiences for engineering audiences ranging from 10-100 people across various formats
  • Learning design capability - Experience designing and delivering leadership development programs, manager training, or organizational interventions grounded in research and learning science
  • Engineering/technical fluency - Demonstrated success partnering with engineering organizations; ability to understand technical contexts, speak credibly with engineering leaders, and design solutions for technical talent
  • Business partnership skills - Track record of partnering with business leaders to diagnose needs, align solutions to strategy, and drive organizational outcomes
  • Evidence-based approach - Grounding in adult development theory, leadership research, team effectiveness research, and ability to translate research into practice

You Are:

  • A trusted advisor. You build deep credibility with engineering leaders through your ability to listen, diagnose thoughtfully, challenge constructively, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Psychologically minded. You understand human behavior, team dynamics, and organizational systems; you see patterns others miss and help leaders develop insight into themselves and their organizations.
  • Grounded in evidence. You make recommendations based on coaching best practices, leadership research, and organizational psychology principles, not trends or personal opinion.
  • A strategic partner. You balance individual coaching with organizational perspective, understanding how leadership development connects to business outcomes and team performance.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity. You thrive in complex, fast-moving environments; you can diagnose messy problems, design pragmatic solutions, and adapt quickly as needs evolve.
  • Low ego and impact-focused. You measure success by others' growth and organizational impact, not your visibility; you're comfortable enabling leaders to succeed and celebrating their wins.
  • Intellectually curious. You stay current with research in coaching, leadership development, and organizational psychology; you continuously refine your craft and bring new thinking to your work.
  • A skilled facilitator. You create engaging, inclusive learning experiences that balance challenge with support; you read the room, adapt in real-time, and make space for authentic dialogue.
