YOUR ROLE

The Mountain Studio Retail Sales Associate - Local Marketing Coordinator is a joint role in our Jackson retail location as a Mountain Studio Sales Retail Associate for 6-24 hours per week (based on business needs and availability) plus support for local marketing efforts (based on business needs and event scheduling) for 4-12 hours per week. The total weekly hours for this part-time role may range from 10-30 hours per week based on individual availability and overall business needs. 

Stio Mountain Studio Retail Sales Associates are responsible for providing an exceptional brand experience with customers at our Jackson Mountain Studios. Sales Associates are required to deliver an outstanding level of customer service, which includes but is not limited to knowledge of the brand story and product, customer engagement, and selling. Stio Mountain Studio Sales Associates are committed to supporting a dynamic, cohesive team that provides a customer experience through connection, top-quality product education, and a passion for our products and company.

In addition to Mountain Studio Sales Associate duties, the Local Retail Marketing Coordinator role offers time each week to collaborate with Mountain Studio leadership and the local retail team to identify and coordinate impactful marketing placement. This includes supporting meaningful local partnerships and events throughout the year, alongside relevant ad placement needs. This part-time, hourly role is an excellent opportunity for an entry level marketer to learn about the Stio brand, connect with our best-in-class HQ marketing team, and engage with the community with opportunities to grow into more hours based on job performance and continued business needs. 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Mountain Studio Sales Associate

  • Provide a welcoming retail store experience to our customers
  • Maintain visual store aesthetic through routine cleaning, mannequin changes, organizing displays and general tidying of the floor
  • Receive inventory shipments, restocking inventory on the sales floor, and maintaining an organized back-stock
  • Other operational duties including answering phones and fulfilling customer service shipments
  • Provide knowledgeable and up to date details of Stio products, sales, and pricing
  • Utilize Point of Sale system to accurately and efficiently process customer transactions; payments, refunds/exchanges and gift cards

Local Retail Marketing Coordinator 

  • Collaborate with store team, other Local Retail Marketing Coordinators and HQ Marketing team to narrow down meaningful, impactful ad placement, partnerships, and events throughout the year
  • Update and look ahead to asset needs, event support needs, requests and timelines, work with HQ brand and creative teams on communication tools and lead times
  • Manage requests and timeline needs in Asana for assets from internal creative team
  • Coordinate Stio local presence at key events throughout the year, working with Mountain Studio leadership on scheduling support needs from the team or reaching out for additional HQ support when appropriate
  • Map out marketing placement and event partnership schedule throughout the following year, contract commitments and budget spend reviewed with Mountain Studio Manager
  • Contribute to end of quarter retail marketing impact report
  • Participate in annual local retail marketing budget planning with Mountain Studio Manager

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Currently studying marketing, past marketing experience preferred
  • Retail, sales, and/or service experience preferred
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required
  • Flexibility to work Weekends and Holidays required, including representing Stio at key events
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive space for every person who enters the Mountain Studio
  • Proactive learner who is eager to be part of a growing Stio team
  • Computer proficiency and POS experience
  • Microsoft Office and Excel Skills preferred
  • Email and phone communication skills required

THE FINE PRINT

  • Hourly Rate: $19-$24 per hour based on experience
  • Roles are part time, hourly, non-exempt

  • Must be able to plan and support on- and off-site event opportunities in the community, which often requires flexibility with weekend availability
  • Must be able to move around the retail space, move upwards of 50 lbs and occasionally traverse ladders
