As a Localization Associate at Intellect, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all translation projects within the company, from initiation of translation requests to their final delivery. This will involve coordinating with translators, language service providers, managing timelines, and ensuring that localised content is accurate and culturally appropriate. You will be working with several stakeholders while managing simultaneous projects, strong time management, process improvement, project management, and communication skills are significant skills you must possess to succeed in the role.

  • Work with the Localisation Manager to oversee the localisation process for products, marketing materials, and other content.
  • Coordinating with translators, language service providers, and other stakeholders to ensure that localised content is accurate and culturally appropriate.
  • Manage timely delivery of localised content.
  • Working with other teams to ensure that localisation is integrated into the overall product development process.
  • Ensuring that localised content meets industry standards and guidelines.
  • Managing relationships with external vendors and partners involved in the localisation process.
  • Providing guidance and support to other teams on localisation-related matters.
  • Staying up to date with industry trends and best practices in localisation management.

Requirements

  • Language proficiency: Depending on the products and markets that Intellect serves, you may need to be proficient in one or more languages in addition to English.
  • Cultural awareness: An ideal translation coordinator should have a strong understanding of different cultures and the ways in which they may impact the way products and content are received.
  • Project management: You will be responsible for managing multiple projects at once, strong project management skills are essential for this role.
  • Attention to detail: Localisation requires a high level of attention to detail, as even small errors can have significant consequences.
  • Communication skills: You will need to be able to communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and external partners, so strong communication skills are important.
  • Adaptability: The localisation industry is constantly changing, so it's important to be able to adapt to new technologies and processes as needed.
  • Problem-solving: Localisation projects can often involve complex challenges, so being able to think on your feet and come up with creative solutions is essential.
  • Time management: There will be multiple projects and deadlines to manage, strong time management skills are important for the translation coordinator.
