Taonga: the Island Farm is an adventure game on a tropical archipelago. Players travel between various islands, exploring them and taking part in adventures with fun stories and engaging game mechanics.
We are looking for a FRENCH SPEAKING QA Specialist to join our team on a remote, part-time basis.
RESPONSIBILITIESPerforming manual testing on multiple platforms following detailed instructions that will be provided to youFind and report linguistic issues, such as, among others, text not fitting, or text not translated correctly (in the languages you’re proficient in)Identify defects, follow test plans, and verify fixesUse AI engines to translate texts from English into 12 other game texts, and proofread AI generated translations in regards to general appearance (i.e. tags, counters, etc. as per source text).WHO WE THINK WILL BE A GREAT FITMust be proficient in English and understand its nuances—advanced leveli18n/l10n testing or other (localizing, translation, editing, etc.) experienceIntermediate to advanced level French (B2-C2)Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, work independently as well as working on a teamCultural Savvy - Understanding of cultural/linguistic nuances and political correctness of both the English (British and/or American and French cultures)Tech savvy - Intermediate level skills using computers, devices, spreadsheetsAbility to work on a non-fixed schedule that will vary between 10 and 20 hours per week.Do you have what it takes?
