LUA DEVELOPER

Beyond Sports is an AI based visualization company that offers a new way of experiencing sports

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING 

• Developing functionality for new technical innovations and projects in broadcasting and cinema production environments, inside and on top of our existing control platform. 

• End users will directly use your functionality to control render engines, recording, motion capture, camera tracking and API integrations. 

• Communicate your design clearly and collaborate with the rest of the team 

• Prototype key game elements where necessary to prove out the game’s USPs 

• Create and maintain design documentation to define game direction and scope 

• Work with producers to determine production scope priorities and make adjustments as necessary 

• Review and feedback on content and features throughout development, working with the team to consistently meet the quality bar expected of a Supersolid title 

• Continue to iterate the design throughout development in response to feedback, and data from user testing and analytics 

• Balance and tune key features and the game economy 

• Coordinate with marketing to ensure the product’s vision is followed through in the marketing assets and other promotional materials 

• Design new features to support existing live title 

• Stay sharp on industry trends—Unreal tools, middleware, platform capabilities—and evaluate them for real-world integration 

• Experiment with plug-ins, new techniques, and tools to continually evolve our tech stack 

• Contribute to a culture of innovation, ownership, and technical excellence 

CAPABILITIES 

• 3+ years experience with Lua 

• Experiences in developing in the Roblox environment 

• Good math skills 

• Experienced in working with game assets (meshes, materials, etc) 

• Experienced in profiling, debugging and optimizing game performance 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment. 

• Strong verbal and written communication skills. 

• You are living in the Netherlands 

• You are allowed to work in the EU 

• Available 32- 40 hours per week at the office in Alkmaar 

NICE TO HAVE

• Prior experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams in a design leadership or product owner role 

• At least one shipped MOBA title (or similar genre) in a design capacity 

• Previous experience in designing F2P games 

• Experience in developing, launching and supporting live games 

• Genuine passion for F2P and mobile games, as well as the wider world of gaming
