Part of a FTSE 50 company with nearly 30,000 employees across 30+ countries including Europe, the USA, Australia and New Zealand, Entain ANZ powers leading brands like TAB, Trackside and Ladbrokes. At Entain, our customers are at the heart of everything we do, and Finance underpins the commercial decisions that drive performance, sustainable growth, and world-class customer experiences.

Your Impact

As a Management Accountant with a strong business partnering focus, you’ll play a key role in supporting the business to remain financially strong, commercially focused, and well-positioned for growth. Alongside core responsibilities such as reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, you’ll work closely with stakeholders to provide insights that help drive better decision-making.

Partnering with leaders across the business, you’ll translate financial data into clear, actionable insights, helping to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. You’ll contribute to planning cycles and performance analysis, while also challenging thinking and supporting initiatives that improve outcomes.

This role offers a balance of technical accounting and commercial exposure, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with the business. You’ll continue to build your stakeholder engagement and commercial capability, using data and analysis to influence decisions and support ongoing performance improvement.

A Day in the Life

Based in our Wellington office, this full-time role partners closely with stakeholders to drive performance and support decision-making. We embrace a flexible hybrid model, combining in-office collaboration with the freedom to work from home. Here’s a snapshot of your day:

  • Work with business leaders to shape financial plans, budgets, and forecasts aligned to strategy.
  • Deliver timely performance insights, including month-end analysis and commentary linked to key business drivers.
  • Support decision-making by utilising your Excel skills to create scenario analysis, financial modelling, and ad-hoc insights.
  • Challenge assumptions and provide commercial guidance to improve performance and decision quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial outcomes with business priorities.
  • Drive continuous improvement across planning and reporting, enhancing accuracy and efficiency.

Your Strengths

  • Relevant qualification in business, commerce or finance; CA/CPA (completed or in progress) highly regarded.
  • Background in commercial finance, with a desire to build capability in business partnering.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and uncover improvement opportunities.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including building and interpreting financial models (P&L and Balance Sheet).
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, translating insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
