We are currently looking for a Management Accountant to join the Wasserman Rugby team in South Africa. They will be responsible for;

  • Financial processing and reporting for South Africa, ensuring an efficient, accurate and timely run financial & management accounting function.
  • Managing the monthly close and reporting process, including the month and year end management and statutory reporting, VAT returns and other tax declarations/returns.
  • Responsibility for owning the monthly billing and assisting central team with monthly forecast and annual budget. Provide a high level of service to the Wasserman business and clients.
  • Responsible for the transactional postings of bank, supplier invoices and customer invoices, and payments and review of expenses.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years in accounting roles with a minimum of 1+ years at management accountant level
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications specifically with Excel
  • Proactive and results oriented, able to work under own initiative and complete tasks to deadline.
  • Well-developed communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of management.
  • Experience working in a multi-national company
  • Ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections in a clear and insightful manner to non-finance as well as finance users
