Wasserman Marketing is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Brands Retainer Client team. We are looking for a professional who can effectively manage diverse business relationships, sponsorships, and partnerships, with a specific focus on activating partnerships across Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and multicultural properties/partnerships and diverse talent collaborations.

Responsibilities:

  • Support team members in client service, partnership management, relationship development, project coordination, and internal agency resource coordination to ensure successful activation across HBCU and broader multicultural partnerships.
  • Manage client and partner relationships to maximize the benefits and assets of partnerships, including developing partnership contracts and overseeing program execution
  • Support oversight of client-related and partnership budgets, tracking, billing, and reporting
  • Collaborate with Insights & Analytics and Creative teams to validate partnerships and ensure seamless program execution across multiple partner agencies
  • Oversee relationships with external agencies to ensure smooth program activation
  • Manage day-to-day contractual elements of relationships with properties while effectively managing expectations for all parties involved
  • Cultivate relationships with client teams and internal business units to identify new business opportunities
  • Stay informed about competitive landscapes and industry trends to inform client investments
  • Develop strategic plans for clients, identifying the best opportunities for success.
  • Handle client communications, conflict resolution, and deliverable compliance.
  • Coordinate regular communication between clients, internal teams, and external partners
  • Utilize Wasserman's capabilities to identify opportunities for presenting new capabilities to clients
  • Support new client pitches and respond to requests for proposals

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years of direct experience in account and project management
  • Familiarity with the DEI space and current industry news and trends
  • Experience in marketing partnerships targeting Black, Hispanic, and/or LGBTQIA+ audiences
  • Strong knowledge of project management best practices related to partnership development, non-traditional sponsorships, activation planning, creative materials development, content and social programming, and other account deliverables
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel for deck development and budget management
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt to different situations and personalities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven account management skills to establish, maintain, and enhance customer relationships
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Creative thinking ability when planning, considering program needs, and budget parameters
  • Contract negotiation skills, valuation experience, and familiarity with contractual language in sponsorship arrangements and talent partnerships

Benefits

Base salary range: $61,000 – $75,000 plus bonus potential if applicable for role.

Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to; market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Compensation decisions are dependent on circumstances of each role
