Overview /Objective: 

The Manager, Finance supports day-to-day finance processes, close processes, contract lifecycle management and operational optimization.  This role will work in a collaborative fashion with production teams, business affairs, controllership, legal and IT to ensure accuracy of financial close, optimize financial processes, and improve overall control footprint.      

Responsibilities: 

  • Perform close activities including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.   
  • Approve operational requisitions, supplier invoices and vendor contracts.  Review Oracle purchase order reports to ensure proper accrual accounting. 
  • Manage models for capital expenditures, FTE headcount, revenue recognition and expense work in progress.   
  • Work closely with production, operations and IT to improve operational processes, remediate audit findings, and develop production standards. 
  • Optimize current usage of production budgeting software and expand reach across processes with financial impact. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • B.S. in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics 
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Accounting 
  • Ability to manage and analyze big data sets 
  • Process oriented with a focus on efficiency 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with sports media & entertainment industry 
  • Experience with TV production budgeting applications  

Other Key Attributes / Characteristics: 

  • Ability to multi-task meeting all deadlines and grasping new concepts quickly 
  • Ability to collaborate with team members in a fast-paced, dynamic environment 

Travel:  Less than 10%

Terms /Expected Hours of Work: 

  • Full time employees are required to work a minimum of 40 hours a week
