About the Role

We're looking for a Pricing Operations Manager to join our PBM team—a unique role that bridges technical expertise with business acumen, building solutions from the ground up. In this position, you'll oversee various reporting and analysis functions including client impact analysis, regulatory reporting, and MAC management, while remaining hands-on with technical work and driving automation and data quality initiatives. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO: 

  • Oversee and review client impact analysis, regulatory reporting, MAC Management, as well as other financial analysis to support PBM pricing strategies and operational decisions
  • Write complex SQL queries and Python scripts independently to extract, transform, and analyze pricing data, as well as to automate existing manual processes - documenting and utilizing version control as appropriate
  • Design and maintain database structures following best practices for table design, permissions, and data integrity.  This includes drug lists, pharmacy network lists, rebate data ingestion, and contractual term management, ensuring data integrity through systematic validation processes
  • Build specialized reports and analytical frameworks from first principles, moving beyond pre-configured templates to deliver custom solutions
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline pricing operations and reporting processes
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions and models to add scalability and value to our operations
  • Organize, document, and create structure around data processes, establishing frameworks where none exist
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHO YOU ARE: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field
  • 3+ years of relevant healthcare experience in financial data analysis and reporting as an individual contributor, with demonstrated ability to lead other analysts.
  • Strong skills in Excel, Databases, and SQL, with the ability to write code independently and solve problems creatively
  • Python programming knowledge and experience
  • Management experience with small teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

EXTRA CREDIT:

    • Advanced Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field
    • Appropriate industry experience in the healthcare, insurance or PBM industry, preferably with PBM pricing models and strategies
    • Python programming experience managing simple database-backed applications (Beeware, tkinter, etc)

BASE SALARY: $100,000-$130,000

Offer amounts for both remote and in office roles are influenced by geographic location.
