Job Summary
The Manage Privacy Operations ensures that AEG Presents maintains full compliance with global data privacy and protection regulations, including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and other relevant standards. This role is responsible for implementing privacy policies, overseeing day-to-day compliance operations, and identifying and mitigating privacy risks across the organization. The position works closely with marketing, digital, and CRM teams to align business practices with regulatory requirements and to reinforce AEG Presents' commitment to ethical, transparent, and responsible data management.
Essential Functions
- Compliance Monitoring and Assessment. Lead Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and Privacy Threshold Assessments (PTAs) across AEG Presents. Monitor compliance with privacy regulations through regular reviews of products, workflows, and data mapping. Partner cross-functionally to ensure initiatives are developed with a compliance-first mindset and policies remain current and aligned with business objectives.
- Risk Assessment. Direct privacy risk assessments across all consumer data activities. Maintain a comprehensive log of identified risks, track mitigation progress, and present findings to management with strategic recommendations. Guide team members in applying sound judgment and analytical skills to strengthen risk awareness and response.
- Data Subject Request Management. Oversee the end-to-end process for Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Coach team members to maintain high-quality documentation and reinforce accountability for meeting service standards.
- Policy Operationalization. Translate privacy policies into actionable department-level procedures. Lead the implementation of privacy and compliance practices across AEG Presents, influencing operational leaders to integrate compliance into daily activities.
- Data Sharing Management. Manage and oversee all approved data-sharing use cases, ensuring controls, documentation, and audits are completed effectively.
- Partner across functions to improve processes, drive consistency, and enhance transparency in how shared data is governed.
- Data Governance and Documentation. Guide the documentation and management of data handling processes to ensure collection, storage, and usage align with privacy and compliance standards. Develop team capabilities in maintaining accurate records of processing activities and conducting regular compliance reviews.
- Training and Awareness. Develop and deliver privacy and data governance training programs to build organizational awareness and accountability. Motivate team members and functional partners to champion privacy principles and continuous improvement within their areas of responsibility.
- Regulatory Awareness and Strategic Execution. Collaborate with data privacy counsel to monitor changes in global privacy regulations. Assess potential business impacts and translate regulatory developments into strategic, actionable plans. Influence senior leaders and stakeholders to adapt practices and allocate resources aligned with evolving compliance requirements.
- Cross-Functional Influence. Lead cross-functional initiatives that improve compliance processes, data governance efficiency, and organizational understanding of privacy standards. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation across departments.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS Degree (4-year) in Risk Management, Computer Sciences, Data Science, or a related area
- 5+ years of experience in privacy, data protection, or compliance.
- Hands-on experience implementing and managing privacy programs, policies, and procedures.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including legal, IT, security, marketing, and operations.
- Experience with privacy impact assessments, data mapping, and risk management.
- Experience leading, coaching, and/or developing high performing teams preferred
- Strong knowledge of data privacy and protection frameworks and industry best practices.
- Familiarity with privacy management tools and software (e.g., OneTrust, TrustArc, BigID).
- Understanding of data security principles and regulatory compliance.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for conveying privacy concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to develop policies, procedures, and training programs for the organization.
- Skilled in stakeholder management, influencing decision-making, and driving compliance initiatives.
- Certified Information Privacy Professional or other privacy-related certifications preferred
- ISO 27701, NIST, or other relevant standards
Payscale: $119,411.00 - $157,500.00
Bonus: This position is eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
