THE RUNDOWN 

Playfly Sports is looking for a Manager, Sales & Service to join our team at Indiana State University Athletics.

The role will be responsible for daily administration of the Fan Relationship Management Center (FRMC) and the development of ticket sales and service strategies to generate new revenue and service existing accounts. The Manager, Sales & Service is responsible for selling all ticketed sports and a full menu of products – new and renewal season tickets, partial season ticket plans, group ticket plans and individual game tickets.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Create and implement innovative ticket sales strategies, procedures, and best practices to drive long-term revenue growth
  • Identify, research, and target new sales opportunities across season ticket, group, and corporate markets
  • Lead the development and execution of special ticket plans, promotions, pricing strategies, and community ticketing initiatives
  • Manage and grow a personal book of business including season ticket holders, donors, and group buyers while meeting individual and team sales goals
  • Meet personal sales goals and contributing to annual revenue growth
  • Conduct proactive outreach through calls, emails, in-person meetings, and networking events to build relationships and close sales
  • Build database with qualified prospects via industry best practices at games, networking and community events, and general prospecting
  • Track, report, and analyze sales activity and performance metrics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to ensure accountability and optimize results
  • Provide exceptional customer service by managing all aspects of client relationships and serving as a primary liaison between fans, partners, and the athletic department
  • Collaborate with Missouri Valley Conference and opposing team administration on ticket distributions, visiting team allocations, and post-season events
  • Support internal and external communication and coordination with athletics, alumni, students, and the community
  • Act as the primary liaison of the Playfly Aspire with the university athletic department
  • Oversee day-to-day Fan Relationship Management Center (FRMC) operations, ensuring profitability, service excellence, and compliance with Playfly Aspire administrative requirements
  • Complete administrative tasks such as invoicing, payment processing, and expense reporting in accordance with company policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU’LL BRING 

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of ticket sales experience preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required
  • Experience and working knowledge of Paciolan ticketing and reporting systems is preferred
  • Computer and Microsoft Office application proficient, with advanced-level Excel skills preferred
  • Detail oriented with strong analytic, administrative and time management skills, as well as the ability to be flexible
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities
  • Organized and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to quickly develop positive relationships
  • Ability to work well with others and comfortable taking initiative
  • Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
  • Self-motivated and energetic

TRAVEL, LIFTING, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS   

  • Availability to work outside typical office hours including nights and weekends as needed
  • The work is sedentary in nature
  • Walking, standing, bending and carrying of light office items is required
  • The work is typically performed in an adequately lighted and climate-controlled office environment
  • May require occasional travel
