As a Manufacturing Program Manager you will work closely with WHOOP Manufacturing, Factory, Supply Chain, and Hardware teams as you lead manufacturing continuous improvement program management. You will define program plans, drive day-to-day projects, understand dependencies, and ensure teams can effectively work through blockers to meet our objectives. You are familiar with electromechanical development best practices enabling you to effectively lead teams to project completion in high quality, on budget, and on time.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Drive a fast-paced multi-disciplinary continuous improvement program from end-to-end, covering a range of manufacturing projectsDevelop project plans consistent with WHOOP goals and requirements for product performance, schedule, and costEvaluate risks and mitigate where necessary to reduce potential impactsPlan and coordinate the execution of engineering builds with manufacturing partnersLead team meetings and project reviews while remaining agile and confident in the face of changing requirements and ambiguity Provide clear project status and issue tracking reports to team leads and managementUnderstand technical issues and decision trade-offs. Drive to closure by bringing together key stakeholders to facilitate timely and lasting decision-makingRefine continuous improvement processes to enable execution of projects in an organized, methodical, and predictable mannerCoordinate parallel path efforts as contingency planning for high-risk milestonesQUALIFICATIONS:Degree in Engineering or a related technical field4+ years of industry experience in the area of consumer electronics product developmentHave successfully launched at least one hardware product with cross functional dependencies, either as an engineer, project manager, or program managerExperience communicating with engineering, manufacturing, and external partners both domestically and internationally in a CM/JDM modelExperienced in defining and managing project schedules and work breakdown structuresSelf motivated and proactive, demonstrating creative and critical thinking capabilitiesImpeccable organizational, communication, and time management skillsAbility to filter and distill relevant information for the right audienceAbility to travel internationally up to 20%This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.
