Hybrid / Bungie-Approved Remote Locations

Excited by communications, strategy, and interacting with players worldwide?

Bungie is looking for a seasoned communications expert to lead our communications and community teams on our upcoming title, Marathon. At Bungie, we value that teams are stronger than heroes, and in this role, you will be part of a vibrant and collaborative team committed to making Marathon our players’ new obsession.

This role is a key member of Marathon’s marketing team driving strategic alignment, innovation, and end-to-end execution attached to the GTM and commercial goals of Marathon. As a leader, this person will impart their deep communications and community knowledge to their team – working through individuals but also getting work across the finish line daily. This role is a consummate strategist and able to deftly navigate even the most challenging of communication scenarios.

The ideal candidate has an extensive background working with development teams and understands the nuances to game development. As the foremost community and communications expert on the team, they know how to tell stories and inspire diverse audiences - both internally to the team and externally to the players, across local and international regions.  This person has built many game communities before and ideally in a live service and/or PvP environment.  We believe in building trust and two-way communication with the Marathon community.

Always thinking about the future, this candidate must have strong opinions, loosely held, on trends and where channels, community, and the industry are heading.  This role craves innovation and isn’t afraid to try risky initiatives in service of breaking ground on the next hottest thing. Proficient in both reactive and live settings, including on camera, this person educates and motivates their peers to do the same.

This role reports to the Franchise Marketing Director, who definitely isn’t Durandal in disguise.
