THE ROLE

PlayOn! Sports is looking for a Marketing Intern to join our B2C Marketing team this summer. This opportunity will provide real world B2C Marketing experience that will supplement classroom education. This is a great opportunity for students to learn, grow and develop in different aspects of B2C Marketing. You will partner with our Marketing team members, gaining knowledge in their areas of expertise.

Additional responsibilities and accountabilities for this role include:

• Brainstorm new content ideas (create memes & campaign messaging for football and basketball).
• Influencer marketing research, as well as research on feature stories for the next school year.
• Develop a “Twitter Handle Project” for Facebook & Instagram
• Develop state specific searches for football season using meltwater
• Assist in the creation of a social media calendar.
• Select and photoshop images, creating iterations of a base template for multiple sports/genders.
• Resize reels for social media and copywriting.
• Organize and optimize YouTube channel (edit videos, organize playlists, etc.).
• Edit highlights for top players across all sports.
• Organize TikTok page and add playlists.
• Respond to social media comments on all platforms to increase engagement.
• Assist in the audit of our website, applications and social media platforms.
 

THE PERSON

• Highly preferred Marketing major
• Highly preferred knowledge or experience using the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Premiere)
• Highly preferred content creation and/or design experience
• Knowledge or interest in sports
• Knowledge of consumer marketing campaigns is a plus
