About the Role & Team

As our Media and Partnerships Manager you will play a key role in managing the media planning and marketing partnerships for ESPN BET to grow the brand, secure new users and increase market share. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Business Development & Marketing Partnerships, you will build out a best-in-class international sports and entertainment omni-channel program in collaboration with cross-functional teams, leagues, agencies, and vendors.

About the Work

You will be responsible for implementing, managing and evaluating media and partnership opportunities alongside our media agency, partners at ESPN, and other organizations that can support our market goals:

  • Liaise with Account Managers and linear and digital team(s) at ESPN to execute and optimize on-platform ESPN media.
  • Work hand in hand with ESPN BET’s media agency to evaluate and develop media strategies and tactics.
  • Assist the execution and operation of various team and league relationships.
  • Manage cold inbound opportunities and vet for relevance/fit to the overall marketing strategy.
  • Explore and develop new opportunities that are incremental to the marketing and partnership mix.
  • Educate and assist vendors and partners to ensure they are well-versed in our products.
  • Track delivery and performance of individual channels and also the holistic impact of the multi-platform effort.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Activations, Operations, Creative, Product Marketing, Compliance, and Legal.
  • Other duties as required.

About You

  • 5+ years at a top-tier media agency or managing media plans on the brand side.
  • Experienced and comfortable reading and reviewing large, multi-channel media plans.
  • Skilled at partnership management and working closely with strategic third parties.
  • Wide-reaching knowledge of partnerships and vendors across multiple media channels.
  • Expertise in developing presentations and business cases for senior executives.
  • A basic understanding and knowledge of Responsible Gambling.
  • Independent, entrepreneurial, and autonomous; comfortable working at a high level remotely.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: a team player who is able to act as both a leader and an individual contributor as required.
  • Professional experience in sports, sports betting and/or media is considered an asset.
