Rockstar Games is on the lookout for a hardworking Media Systems Engineer to join our Media Systems team.

The responsibilities and demands on our teams are growing, and we are looking for a Media Systems Engineer to be part of the ongoing buildout of our media infrastructure and work with creatives, production support teams and partners around the world to deliver amazing experiences for our creative teams.

This is a temporary position based out of our Rockstar New York studio. The schedule will be Friday – Tuesday, 9:30a – 6:30p.

WHAT WE DO

• The Rockstar Games Media Systems team maintain our infrastructure to the highest standard, with an emphasis on preventative actions rather than reactive.
• We are a global team that works closely together to achieve our goals to a high standard.
• We act as a key point of contact for technical knowledge and expertise across the company.
• Our team works company-wide to design, deploy, and support end users primarily in Audio Production, Marketing, and Motion Capture.

Responsibilities

• Work with editors and operators to improve workflows, identify problems, and document and review solutions with manufacturers such as Avid Technology and Adobe.
• Ensure maximum production uptime.
• Perform quality assurance checks and maintenance to identify any issues that need resolving.
• Review and update system schematics, document, and produce ‘as built’ versions of the technical documents for internal reference.
• Perform maintenance visits, ongoing technical support and provide advice and information to colleagues in the support team.
• Communicate effectively with peers, management, and customers.
• Support remote deployment of technology by assisting and providing domain expertise for local support staff.

Requirements

• 5+ years hands on post-production experience. 
• Installation, setup, and troubleshooting experience with IP network based post-production workflow. 
• Prior experience with Avid Interplay, and Avid shared storage systems such as Avid Nexis.
• Experience with Storage DNA (SDNA) Ubuntu server administration, SNS EVO.
• Proficient with media production systems and solutions such as Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere Pro and Blackmagic editing hardware & software. 
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications including Visio as well as AutoCAD. 
• Ability to read and interpret floor-plans, architectural drawings, and schematics. 
• Attention to detail, ability to build well-written documentation and update collaborators as needed.
• Able to work both independently and within a team.

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
