We have a brand new role for a Merchandise Manager to join our marketing team. In this role you will create a merchandise strategy that aligns to our business goals which includes refining the merchandise planning process and improve the operational efficiency within the merchandise team.This entails offering leadership, guidance, and direction to guarantee the success of merchandise in all aspects of the business.

This role is well suited to an experienced Merchandise Planner, Category Manager, Planning Manager or Merchandise Planning Manager who is looking to use their transferrable skills in commercial strategy, merchandising best practice and solid data analysis skills to build upon the foundations of VGW's merchandise function.

Key responsibilities will include:

Develop, implement and own a cohesive strategy across the merchandise function.
Oversee all merchandise aspects, from promotional execution and planning to procurement and logistics, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
Provide strong leadership to the Marketing Specialist - Merchandise to ensure the successful delivery of merchandise in all relevant business activities.
Maintain strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders informing of any merchandise related matters as well as addressing any concerns.
Prepare annual and quarterly budgets for merchandise operations.
Foster a collaborative environment, encouraging cross-functional collaboration to drive innovation in merchandise strategies, projects, and campaigns.
Think outside the box and generate innovative merchandise concepts, campaigns, and promotions.

What you will bring to the role:

5 years proven working experience in a merchandising/marketing leadership role.
Exposure to all aspects of the merchandise function; including buying, sourcing, product development, promotional execution and merchandise planning.
Experience in merchandise management within the gaming and entertainment apparel industry is desirable.
Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and execute merchandise plans.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
Proficient in budgeting and financial analysis.
Proficiency in merchandise planning software and systems.
Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence stakeholders.
Strong knowledge of merchandising trends, market dynamics, and competitor landscape.
Genuine enthusiasm and passion for apparel and brand merchandise.
