THE OPPORTUNITY

We are hiring a Mid-level Frontend Engineer for our Employee Management Team in Portugal! 

The Employee Management squad is responsible for the experience of the Benefits Manager of our clients. We own the Employees section of Gympass For Companies. This section, in a glimpse, manages the Employees list of such companies. A CRUD, with UX-heavy features like list customizations and bulk operations. The team also owns the Employee File upload flow, with a step-by-step, managing states that can vary back and forth, loading state during the file validation and processing.

The squad's objective is to continuously provide a smooth experience to the Benefits Manager while keeping the employee's list data secure, as Data Privacy is taken very seriously.

The B2B tribe is a global tribe with members in Brazil, Portugal, the United States, and Spain. Our user is the HR and we focus on providing the best set of tools to seamlessly integrate Gympass into the company and its employee's life.

YOUR IMPACT

  • Work within an agile full-stack talented engineering team
  • Help drive the frontend architecture of our platform using state-of-the-art tech
  • Partner up with the team to make new features on our platform
  • Write maintainable code and tests
  • Face challenges to our approach head-on
  • Ensure high-quality code using best practices such as code review and pair programming
  • Follow-up engineering and product KPIs

WHO YOU ARE

  • A Developer with solid experience using front-end technologies such as React, and Typescript;
  • Experience with BFF using GraphQL;
  • Someone with expertise in CSS-in-JS technologies such as styled components;
  • A team player who can get their point across to technical and non-technical people in English and/or Portuguese;
  • A believer in automation (be it unit and integration tests, CI/CD, or something else);
  • Used to work and develop design systems that power multiple teams;
  • A puzzle-solver that uses critical and analytical solutions;
  • Value facts and data to make decisions.

The following would be considered a plus:

  • Experience with microservices and high-volume distributed systems
  • Experience with AB testing
  • Experience with AWS

PAID TIME OFF: We know how important it is to take time away from work to recharge. Employees receive a minimum of 25 days paid holiday per year with an additional day for each year of tenure (up to 5) in addition to annual holidays (including an extra holiday on your birthday!).

PARENTAL LEAVE: 100% paid parental leave of 12 weeks to all new parents (of both biological and adopted children, regardless of gender and parent's relationship with the co-parent) + 100% paid birth leave of 14 weeks.
